Cask pint in the sun outside a pub in Blackpool before the Grimsby Town 3-1 win on 8th April 2017. Golden amber pour, off-white head. Bit of toffee like esters in the semi-malty nose, light bitterness rising above the malty base. Decent session ale.

Smells of yeast, malt and fruit (overripe). Med brown with a red tint and a creamy lasting white head. Light Creamy body with an oily texture. Taste of ripe fruit, malt, caramel and sour bitter hops.

Cask gravity at Rare Breeds BF 08. Amber, bubbly off white head. Toffee-ish with a bit of herb. It’s ok. Not my favourite, but it’s an ok bitter, bit of an odd chemical aroma.

Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Amber with a good head. Orange and malts in the scent, good mouthfeel. Very bitter and dry finish, some hop but not much other aromas. Simple and hoppy.

Mid amber colour. Sweet fruity malt dominates the aroma. Caramel notes too. Flavours are similar with some toffee. Low hop presence. Rather chewy for a session bitter. Not particularly impressive. Cask (gravity), Thurrock Beer Festival.
