Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours clear deep brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is earthy, bitter - sweet, gravel, coffee, hint of plastic and balsamic vinegar. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, caramel, dried fruits, toast, pepper and fruit cake with a mellow finish. Light+ body and soft carbonation. I am not so keen on the aroma, but found it to be well-rounded and drinkable enough. madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - SEP 5, 2016

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear amber beer, patchy ream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest carbonation. Tangy caramel malts. Light floral bitterness. Modest dried fruits. Dry finish. Tastes like an old fashioned bitter more than a mild. Clean.
Sampled @ GBBF day 1. Clear brown color, average sized beige head that diminishes quickly. Smell and taste malts, caramel, malt bitter, a slight bready note to it as well. Average body and carbonation.

Cask at Chippenham Beer Festival. Deep brown. Yay- found a mild amongst the last few undrunk barrels at the tail end of the last night of the fest. It’s dark brown, maybe a little watery but with pleasant flavours of chocolate, malt and a light roastiness. Very easy to knock this one back. You really can imagine slaking your thirst with this after a day down the mines.
