Irish Dark is a dark horse indeed. Light in body but strong in alcohol, it’s got a kick like a mule. Yet Irish Dark positively strokes the palate as it goes down, with it’s mild, clean and crisp delicateness. For good measure, a liberal use of hops lightens as well as heightens the feeling in your mouth. The luck of the Irish Dark indeed.

harrisoni (19534) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 26, 2017
Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Very dark red dark brown colour lasting tan head. Milk chocolate aroma with some dark fruits too. OK carbonation. I thought that this was quite malty easy drinking interesting beer and it hides the ABV very well. Yes tasty indeed. Just a little bit of paper somewhere, but otherwise fine.

coldbrewky (1731) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - OCT 13, 2016
Out of the three separate bargain basement beers purchased.. this was by far the most palatable. Spot on to style. Malt centric and not too sweet. Finish is smooth and rounded. I actually was a bit disappointed that the bottle was empty after the long encounter with a particularly stubborn table top jigsaw resurrection,

PlutonowyMan (906) - Baardegem, BELGIUM - JUL 28, 2016
Kolor br?zowo rubinowy, zm?tniony. Piana be?owa, wysoka, d?ugotrwa?a nie zmniejsza swojego rozmiaru. Na szkle pozostawia grube w?sy. Aromat przynosi delikatn? palono??, s?odowo?? z ciemnymi owocami i odrobin? karmelu. Smak: ponownie, ciemne, sma?one owoce, przypominaj?ce nieco przypalon? marmolad?, karmel i s?odowo??. Na finiszu niezbyt intensywna, przpalona goryczka. Wysycenie ?rednie, pasuje. Idealnie schowany alkohol, powoduje, ?e piwo pije si? lekko.

Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 16, 2016
Bottled 625ml (?). Good drinkability. Lots of icelandic moss throughout. Caramel being rather present. Medium to full bodied. Subdued bitterness. Without major flaws. Not bad.

Bottle from Galle, SL. Malty flavor, slightly sweet with a hint of acidity, which is refreshing for a SL beer. Made the mistake of drinking this after the Lion Stout, which diminished its desirability in comparison. Dark amber pour with a thick head.

tomciccateri (1035) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - DEC 1, 2009
Bottle at Colombo Hilton. Pours a dark amber with a thick white head. A slightly dry malty flavor and slightly dry finish. At 7.5%, a reasonable Irish Ale.

HughConway (831) - Washington, USA - AUG 21, 2009
Bottle served extra cold. Pours amber. Very thin body, decent aroma. An oddity, but nice for a change in Sri Lanka.

Hansen (8618) - Assentoft, DENMARK - MAR 14, 2009
Amber colour and clear. Has an off-white head, mostly lasting. Moderate malty aroma, yeasty, lightly acidic. Flavor is moderate sweet.
