Bottle from Nimbleprop shared with Tmoney99 and the Dutch’s crew. Pours a clear golden color with a very small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, honey, some fruit, cornmeal, pretty blah general lager character, probably better there where there is less variety.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Light to medium grain malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor with with a moderate sweet finish of medium duration. This beer did meet my low expectations.

.5 L bottle: Not expecting greatness at 2.25 a bottle but what the heck. Nose: Grainy with a hint of caustic sanitizer. Pours a decent golden with a thin lackluster head. Some pencil thin quaff rings with spider legs of lacing. Body is muddled grains with lighter sanitizer tones. Bleah.. I like the embossing on the bottle....Ceylon. As if it makes it any more dashing or mysterious...

50cl bottle at Cinnamon Lakeside in Colombo. Pours a mostly clear gold with some creamy, white head. Nose is solid, smells more like an actual Euro lager than some third world pint, yeast, corn, straw, dough, mild spice. Flavor follows, yeasty dough, straw, light lemon, a little metal, some dried cornmeal, some light Hef-y esters. Dry finish. Not terrible.

Bottle in Weligama, Sri Lanka. Smells of just about any cheap lager you would find in the states or elsewhere... But perhaps add the addition of (probably) sitting at room temperature in the tropics for a bit. Appearance is good. Amber with a thin head on pour. Color is appropriate for the style. Tastes about like it smells: cheap German lager with the addition of tropical heat and humidity and time. Bitter in a displeasing way, which overwhelms any other flavors. Maybe a hint of citrus? Hard to say. Sort of reminds me of Presidente and other tropical beers I’ve had but only once they’ve been imported to the states. Does the trick after a long day of surfing, as it’s cold and low enough in abv as to not be destructive but not immensely drinkable.

Goldenes Lager mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht getreidig, etwas süß, wässrig, muffig. Geschmack malzig, süß, muffig, Pappe, unangenehm hopfig.

[email protected] Lanka. Golden beer with a strong frothy head. The aroma is crisply dry, and the flavour is bitter with dryness and some lager maltiness. Overall a nice drinkable beer especially when you need a thirst quencher. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Blond met een snel verdwijnende kraag. Granig aroma en een behoorlijk zoete smaak. Weinig diepte en weinig nasmaak.
