Simple porter with a hint of chocolate. Very drinkable on a hot summer evening in Portland. gregwilsonstl (2660) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 24, 2012
Very dark. Strong coffee aroma. Lots of roasted chocolate. Its a solid porter. Good example of a chocolate porter. bpreo (2943) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - AUG 5, 2013
A very tasty Chocolate Porter, though the chocolate flavor does not overpower at all. Very good. Reid (2625) - Salem, Oregon, USA - AUG 7, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2015 22 oz bottle from Fred Meyers, Wilsonville. $4.29
Dark mahogany brown body with a very attractive light tan head..that is thick and creamy.
Good and rich dark chocolaty aromas..along with roasted hazelnut and cream.
Taste is much the same as the aroma but more dark french roast coffee aspects..the chocolate remains strong though.
The mouthfeel however lets the beer down starts great and luscious than quickly fades to an almost watery finish.
Good beer however.

Bottle:   Deep brown, nearly black, moderate beige head, frothy, nice lacing.   Sweet milky roasted
malt nose, slight coffee.   Smells great!   Certainly not a hoppy Porter.   Very smooth on the tongue,
malty, milky sweetness, roasty, and just plain good.   Its a bit sweeter than most, and less hoppy, but I prefer
that.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   As it warms the hops come out a bit more.   I was pretty happy with
this one.   Just the right amount of sweetness, and well balanced too!

Bottled. Very deep ambery brown colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is mild wood, resin, some non-sweet syrupy notes as well as some mild ashes and toffee. Flavour is rather similar with mild alcohol sweetness. The alcohol is not disturbing sweet though. ration (2263) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 12, 2012
Pours dark brown with a nice head. Aroma roasted malts, chocolate. Chocolate taste. Medium palate. Not Bad.
