Pours a beautiful black with a thin white head. It's kind of like taking a great IPA and roasting it on a spit over an open flame. This is one of he better CDAs I've tasted. hopwine (678) - brooklynzzzzz, New York, USA - AUG 26, 2014
Earthy roast and pine aroma. Flavor is same plus spicy, resiny hops, mild orange-y citrus, very dry unsweetened cocoa finish. Frahmo (320) - Idaho, USA - DEC 16, 2013
22 bomber. Reddish black pour with a monster brown head. Roasted malts with a hint of stone fruit hit my nose and tongue. A tinge of hop flavored piney bitterness on the way down. A little sweet, but overall pretty decent. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - NOV 18, 2013
on tap at the brewery
Toasted brown with excellent clarity and some tan film atop. Smells of pine, resin some sap and a little bit of coffee toasted malts. Flavor carries resin, bitterness, a little raisin character in the malt, some BO character, leather and burnt coffee. Medium on thin with moderate carb and a dry finish. I’m finding that the beer is really middle of the road with a little more leather character than others I’ve had. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - OCT 26, 2013
Bottle:   Dark brown sugar, very dark, moderate frothy sandy head, decent lacing.   Roasty and hoppy nose, slight pasture, a little lactose.   Smooth on the tongue, pale roasted malt bitterness, even softer hop bitterness.   A soft example, but smooth.   Could use some more body, otherwise average.   A bit more pithiness comes out on the finish.   A very moderate yet clean example.   Wished the nose didn’t have that slight pasture, but at least it didn’t come out on the tongue.

Tap at Three Creeks. Low haze deep brown pour with webby lacing. Nose is roasy, pine sap, savory. On for style. Taste is spicy, bitter, pine sap, roast. On style. Palate is most successful of their beers on tap. Not nearly as papery, harsh. douglas88 (9619) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 3, 2013
Bomber. Pours a dark mahogany color with a medium off white head. A aroma of of pine and chocolate. The flavor is rich resin and pine, some dry chocolate and cocoa. Medium bitterness. Pretty good. IrishBoy (4233) - Bakersfield, California, USA - MAY 30, 2013
Bomber; another rare beer given to me by bhensonb. Thanks so much Bill! Nose is light pine, citrus, coffee, and a hint of roast. Almost black (I can see through a thinner bottom section of the glass) with a HUGE beige head. Flavor is hints of pine, lemon, and chocolate coated coffee beans. bhensonb (15743) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours dark brown with a frothy 3 finger tan head. Aroma is evergreen/resin over a malt that suggests cask. It’s a very fresh aroma. Med body, almost. Flavor is lightly chocolate with a good dose of resin/evergreen and a bit of citrus. It’s bitter, and heading towards being harshly so. It’s very tasty. 22 oz. bomber from Roth’s Vista Market in Salem.
Pours a dark dark brown almost black with a nice bubbly tan head.
Aroma of piney hop and caramel, burnt oats and a bit of coffee.
Flavour much the same but more towards the piney/resiny hop way..still some dark caramel coffee in the back.
Mouthfeel is quite thin adds to drinkability..lingering bitter coffee.
Nice Cascadian here.
