Aroma is piney/grapefruit hops and an undercurrent of spicy yeast. The flavor is grapefruit, tropical fruit, an undercurrent of mildly sweet malts, spices and a bitter/tart finish. andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 11, 2012
Purchased at In Fine Spirits in Chicago, IL after going to the dentist, enjoyed on a nice, cool mid-fall evening. Appearance is a very cloudy, bright orange/ruby red with a rich white head that laces to the glass. Aroma of spice, lemon peel, Belgian yeast, mango, definitely rich in tropical fruits. Taste goes down slightly bitter with pronounced fruit/lemon notes, finishes dry, pretty good stuff with noticeable complexities. thomas15 (689) - Alabama, USA - JAN 18, 2013
Faint citrus funk and zesty spice. Honey gold with light tan head. Delicious citrus hop character with funky doughy spicy yeast. Some dry rind. Taste is bitter, slightly dry, and refreshing at the same time. Medium to thick body for the style. Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - FEB 20, 2013
Bomber. Lots of citrus, a bit of sour and some sweetness. Really well balanced and goes down easy considering the ABV. ansalon (3867) - Stockholm, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUN 5, 2013
Pours a hazy deep amber. Aroma: fantastic with caramel, peach, spices and hints of smoke. Taste is similar with peach, honey, caramel with light smoky tones. Very very good!!

Tap at the brewpub, served in a tulip. Translucent Amber-apricot color pour with a sticky white head. It actually forms an Alpha King crown lace on the glass! Aroma of dried apricot and cut grass. Taste is sweet malt with citrus rind, and a real Earthy quality. Pretty fucking delicious. Full Mouthfeel that coats the tongue leaving you feel like you just sipped heavy cream. A little boozy but so quite good.

Hazy orangeish gold pour. Head quickly dissipates with no lacing.
Smell is sweet, nice hoppy scents, tropical fruit, citrus, some bubblegum. Really IPA like with a hint of yeastiness.
The flavor is goood. Melon, tropical, citrus, candylike malt, slight white wine, sweet but not overpowering. A slight touch of booze in the finish.
A tasty brew. An example of the proper way to do a collaboration beer.
And btw the label is freaking hilarious and awesome. ryecatcher (1446) - Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle (a gift from Kristin and Adam B... thanks again!) Pours a murky apricot color, with no head to speak of. Nose is malty with some some pear and a little bit of dank hops. Mouth is full, with a fruity and malty front (grapefruit, pear, apple), which moves into the trademark 3F’s citrusy/dank hoppiness, and goes out with a lingering bitterness. The ’saisonesque’ spicy/yeasty qualities are in their somewhere between the middle and finish, but they are definitely overshadowed by the hops. This is a really good beer, but as an example of the style, not what I expected from the description on label. Oh yeah, great bottle art too. Scipio (1085) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - SEP 11, 2012
Pours a more cloudy golden with a white head. Wonderful and quite potent aroma that has apple, pear, orange, apricot, and melon. Taste has lots of grapefruit. I still get good deal of melon in here, some spice, touches of yeast, and some candyish sweetness. But the candy flavors are not to sweet to cloud the rest of everything that this has to offer. This one surprised me a bit in the fact that it is a lighter in body. More thin in texture as well. Carbonation is a bit fizzy, but actually softer, maybe even flatter. The texture really impresses me in the fact that it can feel so much less but still carry the potency that it does. Aftertaste is citrus consisting of orange and melon. This one feels a bit like an IPA, but it is completely like a Three Floyds style beer. I was the lucky recipient of the last one at the store, and I am extremely happy with this. Get this one if possible. FullObs (136) - Illinois, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Originally on draft at the pub this is an awesome hoppy saison overflowing with pineapple and other sweet tropical fruits. Put away a few glases with ease. Now from the bottle a few weeks later thebropical citrus is a bit more subdued and there is a spiciness in the finish that i didnt recall . Good but not quite to the level of the draft version. Have a few more to see how they turn out
