Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. ;o)) (240508)
RB#4444: 22 fl oz bottle. Pours deep amber/hazzlenut brown with a slight tan to orange head. Aroma mild fruity with faint notes of wheat - certainly towards a weizenbock-like aroma with dry woody and grapefruity hops notes. Full bodied mouthfeel and smooth - again much like a weizen bock. Faint fruity notes from the wheat but more over solid hoppy with a solid bitterness and dryness into the finish. Wellbrewed no doubt, just not amongst the most thrilling 3F nor Mikkeller Ungstrup (37625) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 28, 2008
Another century celebrated with a "Mikkeller" beer, this time the collaboration with Three Floyds for rating number 10,500. A beutiful deep red beer with a medium tan head. The aroma is very sweet and malty with strong notes of caramel, but also with hints of alcohol and pine needles. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of alcohol which tickles the lips, tongue, and palate, as well as strong notes of caramel and medium notes of pine needles and lemon, leading to a very bitter finish, where finally I detect some wheat, which joins the hops for the dry finish. The alcohol just keeps on tickling my palate. joergen (28148) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2008

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Hoppy bitter grapefruit aroma. Sweetish malty fruity and very hoppy bitter flavor. Has a long fruity hoppy bitter finish with a long bitter hoppy aftertaste. A nice one.

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, some hay and wood, mild hints of wheat and also some warming alcohol. Flavour is hoppy, wheaty and a lot of grassy hops. Warming up it has also some slight nectary notes in it. omhper (25138) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 1, 2015

Bottled at RBESG. Hazy amber, rocky head. Evident grapefruit aroma. Sweet with initial flavour of rye bread and wine gum. Medium sweet and full bodied with concetrated flavour of grapefruit, bread and bubble gum. Long bitterness. Powerful extremely flavourful, yet in control. Love it!
(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Storm. Clear, warm, amber golden with an off-white head. The aroma is intense: overripe fruit, plums and alcohol - almost Calvados-like. Full-bodied and very typical US Barley Wine style with plenty of overripe fruit accents and a solid base of cramel malts. The finish is quite bitter but mainly extremely warming and alcoholic, and I get the feeling of sipping a very good and rounded Calvados. Excellent. 180308 Travlr (24860) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 29, 2012

Dark amber clear beer. Oily hops palate and bags of hop flavour. Not short of hop bitterness either. A light touch of malt. Where is the wheat in this? Very drinkable.

Tasting at Bruce’s Pad. Thanks to Jack. Light haze on this amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, soft and light and airy. Smooth soft creamy malt, touches of caramel and toffee. Trace of aniseed spice. Good dried fruit tones. Hops have clearly faded but still a very nice barleywine!
