Black pour with a tan, single finger head. Aroma is flowery with some grass. Medium bodied with lots of chocolate. Hops are pretty dominant on the finish. Lots of grass and lemon. Really bright for as chocolaty as it is. Lace present. Pretty solid beer. Terminus (3755) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 29, 2016
Tap at brawerhouse in lombard, IL
pours black with a nice soapy kacki head and awesome lacing. Nose of chocolate roast and lite floral hops. Flavor is very similar to the nose. Very hoppy chocolate and lots of bitterness. Draft. Roasty chocolate malt aroma. Black brown with a moderate tan head. Sweet chocolate malt and piney orange hops flavor. Medium body, moderate carbonation. b3shine (9412) - Indiana, USA - AUG 26, 2015
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a semi-transparent brown with foamy light beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt and chocolate alongside a mildly bitter hop profile. Tastes like it smells with a bit of roast as well. Mouthfeel is medium light-bodied. Solid, but nothing special. bpar73 (1230) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - AUG 23, 2015
On tap at the Pint Room. Brownish black pour with a minimal beige head. Mild dark malt, hops and caramel in the taste and aroma. Nice, average porter. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - AUG 2, 2015
Pours a hazy ruby brownish hue. Good haze, cakey brownish head. Big, large bubbles, decent retention, OK lacing. Aromas are a firm bitter Smarties and citrus, firm floral and a touch of toast, Carmel used appeal. Dry aspirin and smarties, subtle fruit. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a bit bitter, earthy, so we faint toast, subtle Carmelized sppesl. A fu r my hop element keeps this intriguing, lighter, bitter. Some biscuit, citrus, faint bubblegum and earth. Backend is dry, bitter, mellow soap and earth. Firmly hopped summer porter a bit bitter, some aspirin but nice at tines, touch of the base, citric and melon, firm florals. Ok.
