Wow, what a well balanced beer! Nothing dominates over the other, malt, hops, great flavor, A-1 American beer, 3floyds should be proud! Balanced!

Very good pale ale. Pours amber with dense medium head. Aroma is of FRESH hops but just enough malt to balance. Flavor is hoppy with a smooth dry finish. My girlfriend had this beer shipped to me all the way from Chicago. Makes the beer even better. What a damn fine woman.

Poured light orange. Nice fine bubbled head that really lasts and gives great lacing. Orange color in a shaker glass. Perfect amount of citusy hop aroma. Supercarbonated. Nice slightly malty, citrusy flavor with a bitter punch at the end that is not overpowering and fades to a pleasant aftertaste. A pretty flawless pale ale, but on the flipside, no particularly interesting notes to give this one distinction. Nonetheless, this is one of the best american pale ales I have tried.

Bery nice amber hue. Think white lace of a head. Very hoppy armoma. The taste backs it up with the first sip. The finish is crisp and dry leaving you thirsty for more.

Copper with a beige lasting head. Mild toffee, citrus and pine aroma. Sweet malts balanced with orange, grapefruit and lychee. Top stuff, medium bodied. Would be a brilliant session beer.

Great from the look to the feel. A good head tops off this hoppy brew. Truly one of the best beers.

Poors a medium copper copper colr with a very nice, thick and creamy head and excellent lacing. Strong and seductive hop nose. Taste is initially bitter, with a pronounced dry hop flavor. Great aftertaste. A bit maltier than i had expected and hoped for. Almost reminds me of a combination of a barleywine and a IPA. I disagree with those who claim thiis is more of a IPA, as its clearly much more malty than the majority of IPAs. This is a very good beer. I wonder, however, whether this deserves the distinction and rating it has.

Poura a cliudy amber/orarange hue with a smal small white head with decent lacing. Aromas of hops, a little yeastiness....somehow.....A little herby, wit ha hint of celery. MOuthfeel is medium bodied with a nice smooth finish, Flavors of caramle, a slight hop bitterness, roasted nuts with a finish that begs for more. Citrusr flavors with a grapefruit finish without veing an IPA, yet with a decent hop finish. WOW......This is te pinnacle, session ale.

Pours copper orange with a big rocky beige head. Aroma was mostly citrus hops with some malt detectable. Flavor was very well balanced, with an all hop finish and lingering aftertaste. Very well done.

This is a good beer, but if its really in the top 1 percentile of beers, theyve changed something since I used to buy this stuff as my regular "drinking beer" a mile from the brewery when I lived in Whiting, Indiana four years ago. At that time, they were a tiny outfit brewing their beers in a non-descript warehouse in Hammond, IN (they didnt even have a sign on the building!). I think they have since moved to new digs. I used to buy it because it was brewed locally, was very hoppy (too hoppy for most), and wasnt terribly expensive, about 2 bucks more a case than my usual Sierra Nevada Pale ale. Good stuff, but back then, underneath the high hoppy initial taste was a somewhat disappointing wateriness and lack of depth. Like I said, they must have changed something to get these high ratings, and Id like to try it again today to see. A memorable beer.
