Very strong aroma of hops and flavor of hops. Although, I detect a faint similarity between this aroma and that of old martini olives. There is a serious bitterness to this beer. An excellent American Pale Ale BUrunner (92) - Indiana, USA - APR 13, 2004
Hoppy-citrus aroma comes from this copper colored brew. Great taste...sweet malt nose with a huge kick of hops for a smooth finish. Very nice Pale Ale. jtw (1165) - farmington, Michigan, USA - APR 12, 2004
super-fresh hoppy aroma, with a hint of sweet malt. man, i like the smell of those american hops (definitely one of those ones that starts with "c"). ultra-smooth taste, great complex taste of malt and hops that finishes clean and hoppy. an awesome beer! 11026 (1772) - Alabama, USA - APR 12, 2004
Damn nice beer out of the bottle. Full of hop aroma, full head that lasted indefinately. Nice body in the mouth, malt with a huge hopping at the end. Would have another and then another. beerhugger (542) - Oshawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 12, 2004
Thanks to joeybgood for this treat!
Grapefruit juice is one of my favorite flavours - so too is grapefruit hopped beer. This one smells like a Florida fresh grove beside a stand of pine trees. The rich copper colour and slightly off white frothy head are beyond my expectations for an American Pale - beautiful. Grapefruit and hops engage in a fresh sweet and bitter battle in your mouth - but only briefly as it is a very dry mouthfeel. Bitter puckering finish - very nice.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2005 Great brew! Pours a beautiful clear dark amber with an off-white head. Has a vibrant, fresh, floral piney Pacific NW hop aroma. Taste is sweet with notes of caramel, toasted malt, hops, grapefruit, citrus and pine. This is like mainlining Centennial hops; and that’s not a problem with me. Plesantly sweet, plenty hoppy but non-harsh bitterness. Leaves a nice dry, bitter aftertaste. Medium body, smooth texture and subtle carbonation. Great lacing and head retention. Highly recommended! Very nice aroma. Sweet and like honeydew melon almost. Green and fresh. Mild sweetness with very dry finish. Powdery. Nice! Thanks matta for sharing! NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 9, 2004
UPDATED: APR 15, 2005 Huge hop presence in the nose, with much to offer in the malt department. Taste is quite sweet with huge hops to make it nice and bitter. I actually prefer this from the bottle slightly more, as it is less sweet. At any rate, an amazing session ale. jde123 (775) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 6, 2004
UPDATED: JUN 25, 2004 Pours the color of a blood orange with a pale thin head. Wonderful aroma of citrus and hops not overpowering, but nice and strong. Decent mouthfeel but a little dry, very bitter hops taste, quite nice actually, I think one of the better pale ales I have had! Very good!! ross (2146) - weddington, North Carolina, USA - MAR 30, 2004
