3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap from Three Floyds; good head with piney/hoppy aroma. Good flavor of citrus and hop with the expected bitter finish of an APA; always better from the tap. Looking forward to try other brews from Three Floyd if this is their ’standard’.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2017 Aromas of caramel, bready malt and floral hops. An amber color in a slightly hazy liquid. with an off-white head. The taste is glorious: a solid base of caramel malt and some subtle sweet fruit. Feels medium bodied, creamy texture with moderate, pleasant carbonation. Overall a real nice balanced pale ale. 12oz bottle picked up at the brewery shared by Highendtully. Color is copper/amber with a good quality off white head. Nose is a combination of pine and bready characteristics including a slight brown butter element. Taste starts out with heavy citrus (tangerine, pineapple) before getting out of the way of the malts. Finish is a crazy amount of caramel (like a creme brulee dessert feel) that lingers well into the night. Finish also seems to incorporate an over-ripened fruit quality. Very good balance. Hard to find fault with this one. DavyK (195) - East Kilbride, SCOTLAND - SEP 15, 2017
Bottle from Binny's, Lincoln Park. It's how to do an APA: gorgeous deep orange colour and chewy, almost tangerine-like citrus comes though. Fantastic.

On tap, Kuma’s Too. Pretty exciting to finally get hold of one of these legendary Three Floyds beers! This was deep amber almost copper in colour, much more caramel malt and resulting sweetness than I expected. White foam, medium carbonation. Very hop plant hoppiness, fresh. More than any beer I’ve ever had it tasted like you were sucking on the hops, or maybe their juices, before they go into the kettle. Grapefruit, citrus, a bit of pine, but also quite...hoppy. Quite bitter. Clearly a great brewing effort to get that intensity and faithfulness of flavour, but was it actually the nicest or most drinkable pale I’ve had? Probably not. Appearance is a deep amber and thick white head. Aroma is a little sweet. Taste is creamy with a nice balance of medium bitter hops and some sweeter malt. Cybercat (6121) - Georgia, USA - MAY 20, 2017
Pours coffee brown with a golden tan head. Aroma delivers roast malt, coffee, and a hint of charred hops. Flavor offers smoky roast malt, coffee, woody hops, and a bit of licorice. Mouthfeel presents thick body and good fizz. Long brew the king!
