UPDATED: DEC 20, 2014 you can drink this every day, at which point, every day, you will be reminded that life is indeed good. At least if you’ve got a plump stock of this stuff. If not? Sorry, buddy. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 28, 2007
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2011 Orange-amber with big, foamy off-white head / Elegant and complex pine, citrus, and bubblegum nose / Medium body, great fruit and balance, with long, moderately bitter finish / Flavors of bubblegum, fresh cut pine, grapefruit, orange, and resin / A gold standard. andyhite (308) - Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA - MAY 22, 2007
bottle pours a mahogany haze with amber tendencies. the head here is subtly dense, and ever-so-slowly receding. the strong scents of thick hops are similar to that of a dense fog, and are accented by the flavorful citric aromas crossed with notes of creamy caramel slightly toasted malts. tastes? liquid perfection. i can’t state it any better. it coats the palate from the front, with bright and lively warrior hops and slight spice, to the back where the thicker mouthfeel really shines and is accented by the mild, but non-offensive bitterness and slight salt flavor. this is great. all kinds of complexity here. it’s just sad that there’s only 12 oz, and i can’t get it here. Easily my favorite beer in the world as far APAs go. The aroma is extremely citrusy, especially grapefruit. The flavor, in my opinion is unmatched by any other APA because it is just so well balanced, a complex malt flavor while still maintaining a the wonderful flavor of Cascade hops. the only beer I can really ever give a 5 to, besides B.O.R.I.S. the Crusher from hoppin frog. hopheadfed (6) - crown point, Indiana, USA - MAR 10, 2010 does not count
The greatest pale ale on the planet! Citrus heaven. Way better than eating a grapefruit.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2010 Pour is a gorgeous dark orange with all sorts of pretty colors all around the glass. Beautiful white foam that sticks all over the glass and leaves arguably the nicest lacing I’ve ever seen. Nose is a melange of fruits from peaches to mangoes, melons, even some light pineapple notes. The taste follows up on these fruity flavors but still has a nice slightly sweet malt component of caramel that really helps cut some of the bitterness in the finish. This beer is full of crazy, delicious flavors and feels wonderful in the mouth. Incredibly drinkable, with booze that is restrained and a bitterness that doesn’t distract from the terrific hop flavors. This easily rates as one of my favorite beers ever made, and I cannot believe it took me so long to get a bottle and drink it.

Toasty hay aroma. Lots of floral and citrus notes as well. Medium sweetness, with heavy bitter flavor balanced well with a nice sour character and a great smooth finish that balances all the flavors. Great great IPA!!! dumontn (530) - St. Joseph, Michigan, USA - APR 23, 2011
Call me biased because I grew up drinking the Floyds, but if I honestly had to pick just one beer to drink for the rest of my life, this is it. Hands down. Huge citrus hop aroma, rich amber color, and full-bodied satisfying mouthfeel with a huge caramel backbone to balance the massive amount of hops. This beer defines the American Pale Ale style. dinkle50 (1531) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 29, 2011
The king of hops. This stuff will knock you out with hop flavor, but being the hop-head I am, this stuff does the trick.
