COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer for the end of ages brewed with our friends in the band Amon Amarth. This Aesir Porter is a robust and hearty beer brewed with local honey and a small portion of smoked malt. When Heimdall sounds the Giallar-horn this is the beer to be hoisted by the gods in anticipation of the coming battle.

Bomber purchased at the brewery poured in a snifter. Pours a dark chocolate brown with a minimal foamy tan head. The aroma is hoppier than I expected. It’s full fragrance of hops and smoke. The taste is bacon and pine hops. It’s a weird combination that doesn’t complement well to me. (I don’t like Black IPAs either.). I was expecting more malt or maple sweetness. There is a decent malt body but it’s not the feature. Well made but not my flavor.

It pours dark chocolate cocoa thick in color with a big creamy tan head and tons of sediment floating. The aroma is very light, a bit o honey sweetness and some aging notes as if it has been in the cellar. The flavor has notes of honey, alcohol, and malts without a super thick body. It is smooth with a light creaminess and goes down easy at room temp.

Bomber shared by bhensonb. Pours jet black with a large tan head that doesn’t stick and a pungent citrus aroma. There is a very complex flavor that includes plum, treacle, honey and anise. A very nice brew.

Bomber from jrallen34. Pours dark brown/black with a four finger tan head. Aroma of smoked resin over dark malt. With fresh evergreen Med body. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, pine, citrus and dark smoke malt. Beautiful beer.

Bomber from brewpub. Deep brown-black, with tan head. Aroma is a bit choppy, but not dissimilar from a black IPA - roasted malt, burnt toast, grapefruit/pine hops, some cocoa/coffee, and a whisp of the smoked malt. Flavor is a bit smoother with chocolate malts, pine hop flavor, and finishes with a very small hint of sweet honey/brown sugar. Some residual roasted malt and pine hop bitterness. Interesting concept.

Bomber from my main man StFun. Pours black with a thin tan head. The nose is roast, citrus and chocolate. The taste is burnt malt, loads of hops, ashy cocoa and bitter resin in the finish. Medium mouthfeel. Comes off more like a black IPA. Good stuff – thanks again Josh!

Enjoyed on tap at Reggie’s in Chicago, IL after seeing Foo Fighters at Lollapalooza. Excited to have had this. Appearance pitch black with an off white head. Aroma was interesting, it definitely smelled hoppy, but with a unique citrus backing and a hint of chocolate. Taste was almost equal parts hops and chocolate, it was delicious but have definitely had better 3 Floyds brews.
