COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer for the end of ages brewed with our friends in the band Amon Amarth. This Aesir Porter is a robust and hearty beer brewed with local honey and a small portion of smoked malt. When Heimdall sounds the Giallar-horn this is the beer to be hoisted by the gods in anticipation of the coming battle.

Bomber. Pours a nice black color with a medium light brown head. An interesting nose with some smoke, honey and citrus. A refreshing brew; flavors of citrus hops, light bitterness, honey, oranges, smoked malts, tobacco, lingering lively smoke and bitterness, some metal. How cool is it that 3F made a beer with these guys?

Interestiing aroma from the bottle, like lemon/citrus, but from the glass smokiness, malts, and hops. Light to medium body, beautiful creamy tan head, lots of legs. Flavor is woody, smokey, and a slight cherry note. Roasty is the overall flavor, and I am really enjoying this beer. A lot of classic porter qualities, but not boring. Very enjoyable! Tasted @ 55F.

Bottle shared by BA teamizm. Pours with a near black body that coats the glass a bit. Tan head that slowly fades. Aromas are huge with citrus hops, german pumpernickel bread, rye, roast, slightly smokey, coffee, chocolate cake and brown sugar. Flavors are roasty, spicy, hoppy, citrus, bready. Medium bitter, dry with a long duration. Chocolate. Medium bubbles. Smokey finish.

This 22 oz. bottle was from Strykzone who continues to send world class beers. This poured very dark red that looked black without a light behind iti and raised small tan colored head and thick lacing rings. The nose is of roasted malts with aromas of ripe fruit, raisins, figs, and some floral hops. Body is rich and the mouthfeel is slick and creamy. The flavor can only be described as aggressive and powerful, with chocolate, fruit, and roasted malts dominate. Finish is long and bitter. A seriously potent Porter that reminded me somewhat of the Black IPA’s you see so much these days. Great beer.

Bottle. Poured dark brown color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate roasted smoke malt and chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark roasted bittersweet flavor with medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex beer.

Bottle from kan. Slightly wet & thin light tan head covers the slightly brown-looking liquid. Very hop forward nose, slightly spicy hops with a pine and citrus twist. Underneath, dark malt fumes give rise to roasted malt, smoke, and bitter chocolate. Smells like a black ipa...an imperial black ipa. I hope not though. Has a tangy, bitter intro to flavors..lots of a bittering hops, some acidic natured malt aspects, licorice, and bittermelon. Shit that’s just a weird beer...now I feel that alcohol hit too...way too much abrasiveness for the style in my opinion, which ironically is the opposite of Amon Amarth’s issues. This is gonna be a difficult bottle to finish, but ima try. \m/

Bottle. Pour is black with a massive dark brown head. Aroma is fruity hops, chocolate milkshake, tobacco, lightly smokey. Flavor is rich cocoa, more fruity hops, a trace of smoke. Palate is rich, clean, oily, creamy. Excellent. Not my favorite style but I really enjoyed this.

651mL thanks to tastybeer. The pour is a dark brown to near black with a towering coffee brown head. Nice retention and large webby lace. Nose out of the bottle is fruity melons, kumquat, tropical fruits, with savory meat and cocoa like a very serious Black IPA. Taste is richer, bitter, fruity, melon heavy, spicy, mild pepper, lots of body. Palate is rich, clean, full. Feels like a spot on heavy Black IPA. Very nice- more like a spicier and melon heavy version of Stone Sublimely Self Righteous. Very good stuff.
