66 cl. bomber split with Belgbeergeek // made with local honey & touch smoked malt // dark brown with a lovely darker mocha head // smells of dark berries, mocha, sweet fruits, smooth sweet dark fruits // taste is sweet malt heavy, lightly roasted maybe even small hint of smoke, lots of berries, dark fruits, coffee with a light roast, milky chocolate, starting to get some of that smoke in the backm lightly fruity, exotic grass hops touch end, cocao, light bitterness, not really getting honey // m/m for style // good & quite solid but given price, reputation and marketing this is bit of a downer MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2012
Bottle. Pitch black color, some yeast sediments in there. Nice, lasting tanned head. Strong aroma of licorice and roast. Some alcohol in aroma. Flavor is immensely sweet, roasty and malty. This is an awesome brew, well balanced and full bodied. Epic! madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2013

Opaque black beer, good tan head. Nice fruity nose that also has a whiff of wood and smoke. Crispy semi dry palate. Good hops - strong pine and nice citrus. Rich dark malt and dark chocolate. Lactose and coffee. Trace of tangy red berry fruits. Minerals. Strong red berry fruits and pine in the finish. Comes over like a fine Black IPA, lovely!
Very dark, creamy head. Rich aroma, smoke, liquorice. Smooth, malty. Rye bread. TheRealMGD (555) - Lakewood, Washington, USA - JUN 2, 2011
Tap @ Three Floyds. Clear, dark red-brown pour with a short tan head leaving moderate lace. Pine and coffee nose. Medium, dry, finely-carbonated body. Baking chocolate, honey, resin, spruce, licorice and toffee, with a fantastic full and smooth mouth feel. Finish is sweet and chocolatey, wish it were drier as with the start. ABV is well-hidden.

Picked this up directly at the brewery. Pours dark black/ brown, good film of khaki head and loads of residual sugary lacing on the glass walls. Aroma is that Three Floyds hop smell that I get with almost every brew initially, then it gives way to this roast and caramel malt with sweet almost buttery notes as well. Tastes chocolate bitter at first, there’s roast malt again and some booziness, but its smooth and not over powering. I really enjoyed this. ryanfolty (2584) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - FEB 19, 2012
Date: February 19, 2012 Mode: Bottle Source: Tony (not on RB) Description: Opaque dark brown pour with some head and spotty lacing. Aroma was roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and some smoke. Taste was similar to aroma. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 11, 2012
A - Pours a dark brown-black color with a finger of rothy khaki-chocolate colored head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of roasted chocolate malts, dark fruit, smoke, black licorice, honey, coffee, and a touch of lactose sweetness.
T - Starts off with a mix of roasted chocolate malts with some dark fruit, some smoke, and some black licorice. Through the middle, some coffee comes through with some honey, and a bit of lactose sweetness. The finish is a mix of roasted milk chocolate malts, dark fruit, coffee, smoke, and a bit of honey.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with sweet, smokey, and warming finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice imperial porter with good complexity, body, and overall balance. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2012
