A - Pours a dark brown-black color with a finger of rothy khaki-chocolate colored head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of roasted chocolate malts, dark fruit, smoke, black licorice, honey, coffee, and a touch of lactose sweetness.
T - Starts off with a mix of roasted chocolate malts with some dark fruit, some smoke, and some black licorice. Through the middle, some coffee comes through with some honey, and a bit of lactose sweetness. The finish is a mix of roasted milk chocolate malts, dark fruit, coffee, smoke, and a bit of honey.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with sweet, smokey, and warming finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice imperial porter with good complexity, body, and overall balance. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2012

Goblet consumed at the Three Floyds Brewpub on 4/15/2011.
AROMA: Smokiness and malt. I did not detect any honey.
APPEARANCE: Dark brown with light brown head and quite a bit of lacing.
TASTE: Starts sweet, roasty, malty, with a bitter finish.
PALATE: Medium bodied, with a creamy mouthfeel, yet oily too.
OVERALL: This was a great beer. If I hadn’t already purchased two growlers of Zombie Dust, I would have bought a growler of this. Try this one if you get a chance!

Had last night at The Bottom Lounge on tap. Great collaboration. Strong coffee and chocolate notes. Pours dark, opaque brown with a thin, tan head. Taste is robust. Different from a traditional porter, with more hops bitterness, but very delectable. Thick on the palate with a heavy finish. Overall, I would definitely recommend trying this Strong Porter. Very different from the rest of the Three Floyds main lineup. tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - MAY 4, 2011

Enjoyable. Lots of great roasted oats, coffee, malt notes in the aroma. The taste included much of the same, but with a noticeable hop presence and some citrus and grapefruit. I’d recommend picking one up. JoeTheYounger (1183) - Lake Arrowhead, California, USA - DEC 31, 2011
