UPDATED: SEP 3, 2011 Tap. Gold pour with a clingy white head. Awesome huge citrus hop nose. Monster citrus hop flavor with huge hop bite but well contained with malt late. This is killer. Reynolds314 (3433) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 1, 2011
This is another winner from FFF. The hop character is the star and is really well balanced for a 9% beer. Some IIPAs have too much sweetness and malt in comparison to the hop schedule but not the IIPAs by three floyds. Aroma and taste of tangerines, spruce, mango, and grass clippings. Crisp refreshing and amazing. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 31, 2011
Orange pour, big citrus nose. This is a big ipa. Perfect blend of pine and citrus flavor hops. Longing bitter finish. Malts play a minor role here. RickTStiles (826) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 27, 2011
Pours hazy orange with a thin white head and no lacing. Fresh hoppy aroma with notes of grapefruit and lemon. Taste is lots of hops and citrus. Long finish.

22 oz Bomber poured into a tulip at home. Aroma of pine right off the bat. Slight head faded quickly. Bitterness takes over each drink. Super slick in your mouth. This was kind of spicy. Big alcohol burn. Overall this was pretty solid. There was a TON of sediment in the bottle I had, so watch out when you pour. MmmcKay (1052) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - AUG 27, 2011
Doesn’t look like a monster in the glass, but still really nice color. Hazy yellow gold. Smells soapy. Pine. Lemon pepper. Sticky looking, tasting, and smelling. Nice resinous notes. Easily achieves balance for me. Delicious. Maybe as good as Dreadnaught. msojka (457) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 23, 2011
Pour is a nice orange color with a small khaki color head which quickly turns into a ring. Nose is extremely fruity from the hops. Taste is so sweet, with robust mango flavors, fading into a nice hoppy finish. ryecatcher (1433) - Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 23, 2011
My favorite from 3F’s, and a massive DIPA chock full of mango and citrus in the nose and mouth. Ridiuclous amount of hops (not a bad thing). Pours a bright orange-gold with decent head retention. A warmth from the alcohol, but not unpleasant, complex throughout and worth every penny. Buyer beware though: this is definitely not one for the faint of heart. Bomber from the brewery. Correction.... FREE bomber from the brewery. Thanks guys. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized fizzy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus and tropical hops, melon notes and a leafy finish. The taste is like biting into a grapefruit. Some herbal and resiny hop notes as well. Barely detectable but substantial malt backbone. Scorched earth indeed.
