Bottle pour at Tom’s. A magical sounding blend of beasts. Dark brown pour with a tan fading head. Big beer, sweet vanilla and caramel aroma. Flavor is roast heavy. Coffee constant. Bold lingering finish. Intense beer. Very fun.

Bottle shared at Mechazilla event. Explosive nose with bakers chocolate, milk chocolate, fennel seed and espresso. As it warms the chocolate takes off and more prune, cherry and plum come out. Easy to drink and the alcohol is completely hidden. Smooth and decadent. Finish has some fruit and more dry bakers chocolate with a touch of roasted espresso. A great beer. So drinkable.

Big sweet nose with sour plums, chocolate, raisins, chocolate, more like a barley wine but insanely good BW. Smooth body, treacle a and caramel, dark cherries and the booze is soo well hidden. So smooth. Sour brownies and plums lingering finish.

Finally drinking my bottle, now 4 and a half years old. Served in a tulip. The beer pours an oil slick black with a still thick mocha head that leaves great lacing as it shrinks to cover the top. Aroma is cocoa, coffee, soy sauce, wood, bourbon, and anise. Flavor is loaded with bitter chocolate, cocoa, coffee, bourbon, oak, black licorice, soy sauce, and vanilla. Thick, lingering, and still boozy. Outstanding blend of stouts. World class.

From notes (9/5/15) from a trade with HighWine -- cheers! The pedigree of beers that went into this beer are pretty insane, and so it’s no surprise this blend is pretty unreal as well. Big, chewy roasted malt flavor and a smooth and full mouthfeel all come together well. Some oxidization at this point, but still pretty minimal. Plus, between the wax and the name, this is just an undeniably cool bottle.

Nearly a 6 year old beer at this point. Pours a deep black brown. No head. Aromas of chocolate, fudge, dark fruits. Sweet with slight oxidation. Thick mouthfeel. Pretty good for its age.

Bottle from a trade. Pours heavy black with a tan head. Sweet with lots of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. I think the individual beers are all better.

Bottle. Balanced and smooth stout with notes of vanilla and milk chocolate. The right ammount of alcohol in the aftertaste.
