had this last night on tap on my journey to 3f boy what a treat. very dark brown the bourbon is intensly present in the aroma. served in snifter has big bourbon flavor and very warming from the alcohol but not sweet like a triple or quad. very much enjoyed this beer and hope to have it again. This poured a cloudy lighter brown color with a tiny tan head. Aroma was just loaded with soft bourbon and barrel characters, marshmallows and pineapples, sweet caramel and toffee too. Flavor were melded really well between the barrel notes, the bourbon and the sweetness of thr barleywine. I might have liked this more then Behemoth, dare I say. 50belair (3679) - Florida, USA - NOV 14, 2011
UPDATED: MAR 13, 2012 On tap at 3 Floyds’. Murky brown pour with an off white head. All kinds of bourbon in the nose. Smooth bourbon, caramel, dark fruits, and vanilla notes. I imagine a year or two in the bottle and this will be phenomenal... bdigital (658) - Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 15, 2011
Draft @ FFF’s Anny Party...pours a murky brown with no head to speak of. Nose is a pleasant blend of strong roasted malts, some biscuit, vanilla bean, bourbon and a bit of dry cocoa powder. Starts off a bit hot but quickly balances out with notes of sweet bread dough, vanilla, wood and bourbon. Very nice brew to start the day off with. Cheers!! Draft. Poured hazy reddish brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy vanilla, toasted malt, bourbon alcohol and wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy dark malt and bourbon bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a complex standout beer.

Burnt orange pour, off white head. Bourbon, brown sugar, dates, figs, light oaky notes. Rich and sweet. Nice. Thanks to 50Belair! hopscotch (11181) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 26, 2012
Bottle (dregs)… CCB’s Hunahpu’s Day 2012… This beer rocks!... Cloudy caramel-colored ale with a small, fat-bubbled, off-white head. The nose presents integrated notes of sourmash whiskey, charred oak, caramel and coconut. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and laid-back carbonation. The plush, complex flavor is a menagerie of caramel, bourbon, vanilla and toffee – just boatloads of malty greatness. The finish is not at all abrupt, but rather a slow-fade of the beer’s complex, delectable essences. Thanks go out to 50belair for sharing this excellent barrel-aged English-style barleywine! crosamich (433) - Twin Falls, Idaho, USA - MAR 27, 2012

Tasted on 1/7/12 from a yellow waxed and capped bottle purchased at the Three Floyds XV Anniversary party. Pours cloudy dark orange-amber with an average orange-tinted white head that leaves a nice collar of lace. The nose is very sweet malty maple, brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, coconut, and oaky cinnamon whiskey. The flavor is the same sweet maltiness, with the maple and caramel showing through nicely, and the oaky notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and whiskey on the back. The body is full with average, stinging carbonation, and a long malty sweet and oaky finish.
