UPDATED: JUN 5, 2016 Etched bottle- pours brown white head- nose and taste of sour caramel, bread and oxidation- medium body

The pour is a hazy golden straw color with a thin white head. The nose on this beer is awful. Sawdust and cardboard overpower the nose. Light lemon peel, maybe some oak, heavy on the bandaids, and a bit of dirt are there for good measure. The flavor has a subtle tartness, a bit of water, and huge cardboard and sawdust notes. Some bandaid, musty oak, lemon peel, and that might be about it. I tried to forget...

Bottle shared at Natifest 13. Poured a cloudy golden color with a mostly lasted fizzy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus and sour yeast aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet & sour fruit finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer for style.

A hazed golden ale with a thick collapsing white head. In aroma, a nice sour ale with lactic acid, black pepper, Epsom salts. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with lactic notes, Brett, decent. Xmas Ottawa gathering Dec 13 2013.

650ml bottle. Hazed gold pour. Aroma is purely brett, and not really as brett trois as I woudl expect judging the description. Tastes like a high-boost orval that was aged too long to be honest, somehow this brett beer remains hugely sweet, no real hops as they have long faded and the barrel notes are minimal, just stinky unbridled brettiness.

Bottle shared by Adam, thanks! Pours a hazy orange gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of light Brett with a hint of dry wine and plastic. Flavor has a good amount of breat and wine upfront but finish has a good amount of plastic.

Bottle. Horse blanket, pineapple, malt and straw aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with large off-white head. Strong funky barnyard, citrus malt, and moderately bitter herbal orange peel flavor. Light vinous finish. Very nice.

750 ml bottle shared by JStax- thanks again, Jeremy! Bottle 188/480. Pours a hazed orange-gold with a small white head. Aroma of Bretty funk, floral notes, citrus- mostly orange, tropical fruits, sweet malts- so far, so good. The flavor pretty much offers more of the same. Plenty of funk, florals, and citrus peel. A bit of basement/cobweb mustiness. Wine barrel character is subtle. The fruit and sourness are very subdued here. Light-bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. This beer is unfairly maligned. The only knock I could understand is that it seems restrained, but given other FFF sours that haven’t turned out well, that seems like a welcome characteristic.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2013 20/XII/12 - 750ml bottle @ De Hopduvel (Gent) - BB: n/a - bottle # 26/480 (2012-1383) Thanks to Bobochamp for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy yellow orange beer, nice irregular yellow head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, lemony, lemon juice, fresh orange juice, tangerines, some summer fruit in general. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: citric start, bit lemony, slightly sour, then bitterness takes over quickly, orange peel, chemical unpleasant bitterness. Aftertaste: paint, chemical, very bitter, alcohol burn, grape pits, earthy. Very unpleasant finish.
