No head to speak of. The aroma is a bit fruity, but the malt comes through as well. This has been ’aging’ for almost a year in the fridge at work so I think the initial hoppiness has toned down a bit. When tasting there are citrus fruit notes with a strong taste of sweet malt mixed together. Bitter aftertaste is present, but does not linger. I get a bit of the taste of an old ale and that may be from the aging in oak during the manufacturing process. This is a good brew, but I would still get the Dreadnaught or Arctic Panzer Wolf before this.

Old bottle but still decent. Sweet malt through out. Very little hops in this old bottle. Would love to try fresh. BlackBeerPG (844) - Darien, Illinois, USA - JUL 2, 2017

22 oz bottle poured, shared by luttonm. Thanks! Pours a hazy copper orange color with a rocky head. Toasty malt aroma with a clear sweet side to it. Bready malt, orange fruit bite, middle to high bitterness, some dryness as well. Oak for sure. Hop bitter, warming finish. Very nice imperial here. Mark_Eck (1998) - - JUL 24, 2016

Bottle, 65cl. Sparkling orange with visible sediment and a creamy offwhite head. Aromas of fruity hops, caramel, pine. Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Rich and smooth. Medium sweet, medium to heavy bitterness. Delicious roasted and hoppy character into an exquisite astringent finish. Magnificent. Percy0103 (777) - MEXICO - JUN 17, 2016
Bottle, 650ml. A clear amber beer with a big head and some sediments. Aroma is of citric hops, malt, floral notes and aromatic wood. Medium bodied, with some carbonation and a bitter finish. A great balance between the malt and the hops; an Imperial IPA with a strong English character.
