Draft at pub. Very dark, small tan head. Like many other beers from 3 floyds this thing has more hops crammed in than I thought possible. Strong hop aroma, strong hop taste. This clams to be an imperial stout, but it is a lotmore of the black IPA variety. Best way to describe this is a better version of black sun with a whole lot more hops. Very good.
Bottle share at PinkZambias. Feb 19 ’17 Black with a thin tan head. Classic dark roast, some coffee and bitter chocolate. The main thing here is all the hops. A hoppy imperial stout. Very tasty. jackl (8013) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Bottle thanks to deyholla! Deep brown with a small head. Big and oily. Some acrid char and surprising accents of anise. Dark chocolate. Some coffee. deyholla (11486) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Bottle. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts with dark grains and a hint smoke underlying. Flavor has a nice slightly smokey roasted malts with some grass, dark grains and a pine bite supporting. Bacterial (2986) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Dark black pour with a slight head. Malty and a bit of molasses. Roasty and big, bitter and hoppy. thomashall (984) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Bomber shared at tasting. Dark pour. Aroma is like a black ipa. Taste starts that way but something balances it out, really well done.

Bottle shared - thanks! Very dark pour with a beige head. Damn near a black IPA - lots of pine. Plus roast. Very good. Panzuriel (2199) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Appearance: Rich black brown. Finger of tan smaller bubbles.
Nose: Bittersweet malt trending toward a touch charred. Just a bit of cocoa. Earthy and notes of resin and spruce.
Taste: burnt molasses and dark cocoa. Again earthy with resin and pine hops. Bittersweet fading to bitter and a touch more dry.
Body: medium to fuller. Soft carbonation. smooth
Parting thoughts: A hoppy Imp Stout that works. Nuianced and complex. Very good.

Pours a black with a very thin tan head. Sticky lacing. A dark fruit and hop aroma. Roasty and a powder cocoa flavor. Bitterness seems more like a dark chocolate than a hop bitterness. DuffMan (10270) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 23, 2017
Bottle. Nearly black, with a light brown head. Char and chocolate, black bread, hoppy bitter finish. Full bodied, complex, and drinkable.
