July 3, 2013 - bottle shared by Jeff. Our final beached whale came from someone other than Joe shockingly. This was just like the bourbon behemoth, but with some tart cherry. Just like how GI added cherry to BCS, adding cherry to BA Behemoth is a winner. The tart cherry adds another layer of complexity to an already fabulous beer, but does not overwhelm the other flavors. A nice conclusion to an amazing night, thanks Joe and Jeff! Bamsen78 (5486) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2013
Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit with notes of caramel. Sweet, malty flavour with pronounced notes of caramel and subtle fruity tones. Warming presence of alcohol. Sweet Ftertaste. Yummy! MiP (15943) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2013
Bottle. Good caramelly toffee, vanilla aroma. Cloudy dark brown orange colour. Small white head. The flavour has a good vanilla note with a nice citric note, must be the cherries, but also tastes like a sort of wine or brandy barrel. Rather boozy finish, but I suppose OK mellow. yespr (46563) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2013

Bottle at Mikkeller and Friends’ opening day. Pours a clear brown with a tiny off-white head. Smells of nuts and alcohol. Sweet and oaky with lots of sugars. Also aromas of almonds and brown sugar. Medium to full bodied. VsXsV (4523) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 13, 2013
Bottle. Hazy deep brown liquid with small light brown head. Aroma of oak, bourbon, vanilla, toffee, caramel, resin and light booze. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of bourbon, vanilla, toffee and sweet malt. A bit booze. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. Quite nice but not better than the original. brystmar (1314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 3, 2013
Brad, thanks! Cherries amidst the hearty malt base work surprisingly well. I don't know what else to write about this: it's just an unbelievably good barleywine. Much closer to an English than an American. And the fruit works phenomenally.
