COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is brewed during the hop harvest with a portion of unkilned or “wet” hops fresh off the vine. Apricot in color, Broo Doo’s nose has dominant orange, pine sap and floral notes, balanced by a glazed nut and toffee malt body. This celebration of the hop harvest has intense tropical fruit, citrus and spicy accents that showcase the complexity of the hops we all love. October release.

Cloudy amber with decent head. Soapy hops aroma with nice citris and floral undertones - almost like fresh flowers in a glass. Slightly soapy - but rather enjoyable overall. Nice fresh taste with a nice bitter bite to it.

Bottle, thanks BBB63!. Dark clear copper with a white head. Prominent, citrusy-orangey hop nose with fresh pine and vanilla. Pleasant bready caramel backbone with orange/citrus/grapefruit up front then glorious pine. Pretty fresh and vibrant. Pleasureable bitterness level, not harsh. Full, round and creamy with moderate carbonation. This one beats out Founders Harvest Ale by a little bit, due to the more prominent aroma. Both great beers, though.

(22oz bottle, thanks BBB63) Crystal clear amber body topped by medium off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, grapefruit/pine. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, pine/orange. Medium body, chewy, light acidity.

22 oz. bottle from tjthresh. Pour is a beautiful orange copper with great layering and a perfect 2 inch off white head. The layering led to carbonation bubbles, which ended to a mostly clear beer. Aroma was present as soon as the top was popped, and is a nice fresh, citrusy sweet hop. Just a fully engaging nose. I haven’t had a sip yet, and I already love this beer. Taste is mostly the hop, with big hop initially focusing on the sweet ripe orange taste, yielding to some pine hop bitter in the middle and finishing with a very clean bitterness. This is pretty lopsided to the hops, but what do you expect from a harvest ale? I thought it showcased the freshness of the hops perfectly. Just delicious, thanks for giving me this one Tom!

22oz bottle acquired in trade with Sephiroth (thanks!). Poured a medium amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, fresh green hops, earthy, and just all around nice hoppiness. Tastes of pine, citrus, caramel, pineapples, and floral hops. Bitter with a nice balance. Tastes where good, but feel a little short of the awsome aroma.

Glowing, gorgeous multi shaded amber pour with a creamy lasting beige head, and some lacing. Smell is rich, fruity hops, a bit spicy, and sweet. Very nice big bold, spicy, biting, sharp, hop flavor and some pine and lots of green fresh character as well. Crisp carbonation and rich creamy body. Citrusy flavors and a bittersweet grapefruit flavor lingers on into the finish. Probably my new favorite fresh hop beer. Very nicely done and another awesome beer by Three Floyds. Can’t thank you enough for this one, Matt!

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2008 ’07 Bottle from Holdenn, thanks! Darker amber color with medium off white head 3. Big hoppy pine and citrus aromas with nice caramel malt 8. Flavor is still strong grapefruit, orange citrus flavors with medium sweet caramel malt backbone, pretty straight forward 8. Nice medium to full creamy body 4. I may have opened this too late as the hop aroma and flavor were not overpowering (as in usual FFF style), but this may have been one of the more balanced FFF IPA’s 16. -- ’08 rerate bottle at fresh/wet hop blind tasting with drewbeerme, pantanap and holdenn. Clearer light red with slight creamy off-white head. Aroma is big pot smell with citrus, very potent biggest hop aroma. Flavor is citrus, pine, nice bitterness with spruce, resiny, very tasty, grapefruit and orange. Medium body that is very nice. Best so far. Slight mark up from last years batch.

C-bus 10. Thanks to puddintane I believe. Nice piny aroma with some grassy scents as well. Copper in color with a medium head. Nicely carbonated. Smooth flavor with plenty of caramel malts and the expected piney hop profile coming through.

Thanks to Mike for this. Dark gold color. Aroma of spicy hops. Flavor has some harsh hops and grass, all the while showing a nice pleasant bitterness. Not my favorite harvest, but still very strong.
