growler at the imbibe event. pours a golden with white head. nose isn’t all that hoppy, odd, grainy, sweet honey, some citrus and grass. very dull hop profile. Flavors are similar, just not a big hop character, sweet grains and grassy hop notes. a rare hoppy misfire from fff. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 2, 2011
Growler. Reminds me more of an Amber or older IPA. Hop flavor isn’t super clean or distinct, having a hard time placing it’s character, malt profile seems somewhat muddled also. I think the Zombie Dust might have influenced my palate on this one. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - FEB 25, 2011
Pours a golden orange hue with a thick, healthy white head. Aroma of citrus, tangerine, melon. Some honey malt, pils, and a light sweet bread. Flavor of mild fruit, mostly melon and apricot. Tangelo. Mild sweetness and low bitterness. Very fruity and easy to drink. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity. Another excellent pale from three floyds, although I’m not crazy about the hop showcase here. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - FEB 23, 2011
Growler picked up by my girlfriend’s mother while I was out of town (Munster, IN). Pours a darker golden hue, well maybe still a bit fiery, a faint haze with a small whitish head atop that stays small and ringlike but laces pretty well considering. Aromas are a bit more restrained in the hop world, juicy orange and lemongrass, a touch of florals moves into bready and biscuity malts, pale malts and bread, with a faint touch of grapefruit. Light caramel, a touch of florals. Lighter, but the aroma is there. Initial is lighter bodied overall, juicy orange and bitter and rindlike lemongrass mix with bready and a touch sweeter biscuity malts, faint caramel. Decent bitterness but not all that powerful on the citrusy front. Honey, light spiciness, the hops are a bit dissappointing. I love orange, but with a light citrusy backing it lacks that FFF oomph, even for their lighter beers. Light spiciness, ok lemongrass, grass, and orange, but a bit sweet overall. Not bad. Not a hop I think is great to showcase. A bit bigger on the abv too.. JB84 (649) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2011
Draft at Three Floyds Golden see through orange great lacing minimal head. Pilsner smell with biscuit oranges floral hops. Taste like a pilsner, floral hop off bitterness, touch of spice. Medium body medium carb. Very easy to drink however very forgettable.

On tap at FFF. Pour is light clear golden with a modest white head. Nice lacing at least. This brew doesnt quite work, honestly, but it isn’t bad. Its like a cross between a pils and a pale. Slightly fruity, bitter, lemongrass, eh. jlanning215 (363) - Peoria, Illinois, USA - FEB 21, 2011
A slight aroma of citrus and pine. Smooth with a bitter end...only slightly. Effervesent and crisp. A great gateway into ipas and also to experience a single hop...el dorado. jar72404 (426) - USA - FEB 19, 2011
On tap at brewpub. Gold with thin white head. Aroma is nonexistent. Flavor is plain sweetness. Very plain beer, especially for FFF. arkurzynski (2456) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 19, 2011
On tap at FFF. Pale amber in color. Nose is soft floral and citrus hops, brief end of whiff caramel malt. Fairly light citrusy bitterness and good pale/toasted malt finish. Some residual bitterness. Very clean. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2011 Growler thanks to Sean. Picked up at the brewpub this week... Pours a medium golden hue, semi-transparent, with athin white head... Aroma of sweet honey and grains with a light peppery spice on the backend without all the much of the hops coming through... Flavors are much of the same. Swee throughout with a mild spice on the backend. Body a little too heavy, carbonation holds up. really missing a clean hoppy component which FFF brews are usually known for.
