3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft at FFF. Imperial pint. Pours a clear orange amber with a 2 inch, off white head and decent lacing. Aroma is orange, grassy hops, and citrus. Taste is citrus up front. Awesome floral New Zealand hops come in with bread and a piney finish. Thinner and easy to drink. Real good.
Tap at FFF. Filtered copper-orange. Big creamy off-white head. Different. Herbal tropical hop tones. Medium to full bodied, lots of hop character, quite a pleasant beer experience. The lemon-lime of the hop is super pronounced. Clean toasty malt body underneath. Impressive. Scipio (1215) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Pours a clear golden with a big frothy white head. Aroma contains lots of citrus. Its big on grapefruit, pineapple, and lemon. It is very Three Floyds like. As for the taste, there is a lot more fruit as opposed to the citrus that comes out. I find much more peach and pineapple here, along with pine. It has a pretty good hoppy kick. My only drawback I can find is that it has a short aftertaste. Medium in body, with some good lively carbonation, with a chewy texture. It is quite crisp and very refreshing. I think this is a very good beer. Maybe not quite up to the par of others from Three Floyds, but still very solid. railcat1 (706) - Kissimmee, Florida, USA - FEB 6, 2013
On tap at FFF ,flavors of Citrus and grapefruit, Nice and light in the nose, not to hoppy at all. I really enjoyed this pale ale. This was very drinkable but it didn’t quite have the flavor profile, or the nose Zombie Dust.CHEERS! Treebs (872) - , Illinois, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Enjoyed on tap at Blues Bar. Served in a point glass.
A: Pours a clear amber color with a whited head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly leaving behind a few splotches of lace.
S: Citrus zest, limes, lemons and grapefruit, with notes of a sweet biscuity malts. Nice and light in the nose, nothing overbearing in terms of the hops profile.
T: A little more malt than the nose suggested. Heavier bready malts with a nice sweetness to it. Bursts of grapefruit, orange flesh and lime peel. A little grass as well.
M: Light bodied with a medium-high carbonation level. Highly drinkable with a great balance to it.
O: I really enjoyed this pale ale, probably my second favorite one to date from FFF. This had a drinkability that rivaled ZD, but it didn’t quite have the flavor profile, or the nose that ZD has. I would definitely have this again.

Cask at Fountainhead. Pours a deep gold with a creamy white head. Nose is strong and fruity/citrusy. Light malt. On tasting, crisp and clean with a persistent fruit quality. Light malt. ModerAte bitterness. Lacking in pop overall. Solid. Surprised by the restrained nature.

On tap at FFF: pour is fairly clear gold Amber I believe. its dark in here as you probably realize. Medium fine bubbled off white head in this pint glass. the nose is piney, floral, with some peaches too. This.one strikes a decent mid level bitterness. The flavor profile is semi sweet. light and bright fruit, some tangerine, piney floral notes, and some underlying maltiness is present. pantanap (3367) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 9, 2012
Half pint at the brewpub... Pours a deeper apple juice tinted brown, clear throughout, and topped with a retentive frothy barely off-white head... Catty citrus, semi-dank hop notes upfront. Bright and still fairly fresh it seems. A bit of herbalness to coincide with the aforementioned .. Herbal tea, light grass, and catty citrus hops seem to be the focus in this one. Some toasty caramel malt provides some sweetness through mid-palate. Light to medium prickly carbonation to go along with a medium body. Not as juicy or assert e hope wise for me but easily drinkable. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2012
This poured a bright dark golden color with a white head. Aroma was of caramel malt, tropical hops, and light nutty notes. Flavor was nutty and reddish ale notes, with balancing hop notes, but nothing in your face like most of their IPAs. A bit of a disappointment. zebra (2310) - Illinois, USA - NOV 11, 2012
