750 ml bottle shared by bsuedekum- thanks a lot, Blake! Bottle 370/386. Pours a hazed amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of resin, oak, mixed fruits, caramel, coconut, and earth. Flavor of vanilla, caramel, dried fruits, oak, and resin. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, gritty mouthfeel. Interesting barley wine. I liked it more than I thought I would. hopscotch (11181) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 25, 2012
Bottle (#161)… CCB’s Hunahpu’s Day 2012... Cloudy caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The bouquet furnishes caramel, oak, vanilla and coconut. Medium-bodied and watery with soft carbonation. The flavor presents caramel, vanilla, coconut and light acidity. Caramely, thin, oaken finish. I enjoyed the unadulterated base beer more, but appreciate the opportunity to try this rarity. Bottle courtesy of 50belair! b3shine (9072) - Indiana, USA - MAR 23, 2012
Bottle to sampler the day before Jackie O’s bottle release (big thanks somebody). Looks decent; burnt orange with nice lacing. Smells like heartburn waiting to happen (but in an exciting way). Tastes meh. Way underwhelming for how hard it is to get. Moouthfeel is the same. Probably the worst FFF beer I’ve ever had (which is still pretty good). 50belair (3680) - Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2012
Bottle shared at eh pre-Huny tasting. Clear brown pour with an off white head. Sour apricot nose. All kinds of caramel. Sweet with sour fruit undercurrents. daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Amber pour. Arom of red wine, some acedic notes, light cherry note, some very light sweet malt notes. Flavor is tart, vinous, brown sugar. Not sure the barrels helped this out too much to be honest.

Cuvee aroma, with sharp unadulterated vinegar. More of a bourbon taste, with cocolnut and vanilla, wood and vinegar taste. A sipper, and a worthy rare beer. Murky body. Thanks Dave. fiver29 (1036) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - MAR 3, 2012
Bottle pours somewhat cloudy reddish/amber color with off white head. Aroma has dark fruit, oak, a touch of wine, brown sugar, and booze. Lightly carbonated. Flavor follows the nose pretty well. Upfront its got a nice dark fruit, brown sugar, butterscotch caramel note. The middle is dominated by a tannic oaky wine note. And finishes with some booze. Overall I enjoyed it. Bottle 383/386 thanks to GRG1313. Pours with a hazed amber hued body with a fluffy tan head. Aromas are of nail polish, acetone, slightly sour, pear, wood, splinters and a ton of acetaldehyde. Flavors are lightly sour, oak, vanillin, nearly bourbon like, vinous, red wine, peach skins and nougat. Medium bubbles. Messy. Hair6a11 (1481) - Illinois, USA - FEB 1, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2012 Bottle; Pour is murky brown with a hint of amber ; An average, fine bubbled khaki head is present in this glass - The nose is interesting on this one - The wine barrel treatment came through on the nose; its slightly fruity and vinous, somewhat astringent, with some caramel and brown sugars.. and a hint of grapefruit. One of the more interesting beers I’ve had thus far - but i find the nose to be better than the flavor profile on this one. I can’t say I’m a fan of the base beer either , a bit boring for me. Dark fruits, bittering hops, oaked treatment, wine grapes, light chemicals, caramel and toffee, apple skins... and a bit of alcohol booze - Ultimately, it meshes... oddly. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 19, 2012
The pour is a murky amber color with a small off-white head. An interesting combination of aromas. I get grapefruit, vinegar, and lots of butter. There’s a bit of a solvent/chemical type smell to it as well. The flavor is a touch watery, which I suppose is a good thing, but the bad things about the aroma (butter, vinegar, solvent) are also there. A touch of fruit such as apple and citrus. A bit thin in body with medium carbonation.
