On tap at the brewery. Dark murky brown color with a nice head. Aroma is malt and yeast with some tones of fruitiness. They serve it quite cold, which makes the beer hit you as malty with some banana and yeast. As it warms it gets more character and has some more fruity tones and becomes lightly bitter. Very similar to the Schneider Aventitus. Though I have to say I think this is probably better, more malt and more yeasty fruit. Well worth the trip. Drank at Three Floyd’s Brewing Company during the 2007 Dark Lord Day: The nose was filled with bananas, milk chocolate and spice. In the mouth it was rich, had solid weight and great texture. This is a beer I could drink anytime of year, from a hot summer day to a cold winter night. I sure hope they bottle a beer like this! Or, at least I get to try it again. On tap at FFF brewpub. Pours a hazy brown with golden amber highlights and a creamy/bubbluy off white lacing head. Aroma of banana, clove, toasted malts and some chocolate. On tap at 3 floyds. Aroma of chocolate and actually some of the banana metioned in the description. Slight cloudy dark color with a small head. Smooth and very creamy.

On tap at the pub. Murky brown liquid with a whispy beige head that was accompanied by a lasting ring of big bubbles around the edge. Soft puffed wheat nose with banana and yeast. There are lots of the traditional banana and clove flavors, but all wrapped in chocolate, Super Sugar Crisp cereal and toffee sweetness. The cloves are joined with nutmeg and cinnimon. Muddy dark brown body under a long lasting off-white head.
Complex aromas of Chocolate, spice, banana.
The flavor is spicy with plenty of clove coming through that follows into the finish.

Tap at FFF and the pour is a interesting purple hazed color with a topping of small froth and okay lacing, a bit oily on the glassware. The aroma has the expected notes of banana and clove esters along with some heather, smoke, toffee, plum and meaty vapours. The taste starts with a good balance of fruity weizen notes over a smoky and toffee sweet malt base. Really does a great job of displaying the full character of the genre. On tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy brown with a short offwhite head. Aromas of bannana, clove, chocolate, and some caramel. Flavor is bannana, cloves, chocolate, caramel, and a bit of spice before the finish. Sticky sweet throughout with a smooth finish. Very nice brew!
