Another solid APA. Aroma is standout citrus and pineapple with a good helping of grapefruit and spruce at the back of the throat. Slight warming as it made its way down the gullet. A biscuity note and pronounced bitterness in the finish. A bit dry. MoDog (928) - Griffith, Indiana, USA - MAR 15, 2009
On tap at Three Floyds and served in a nonik. This poured a pale amber with a light haze and a two-finger thick head of light beige foam. Decent retention and lacing. The aroma had oranges, light lemon, and a bit of toasted grain. The flavor also had fair amount of citrus. Oranges and mild grapefruit were followed by light caramel, and a bit of breadiness. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had moderate carbonation. I’m not a big fan of APA’s, and this one won’t be changing my mind.
