(Bottle 65 cl) Nice amber colour with a small, off-white head. Spicy nose. Incredibly delicate hop character, sweetish almost honey-like with loads of caramel. Bitter not only in the finish -all the way through. Delicious. 170705 Beerhunter111 (22974) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2016
From Tap. Leicht trübes orange goldenes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Orangen, Pfirsich, leicht hopfig. Geschmack dezent hopfig, getreidig, Aprikosen, Pfirsich. Leighton (22555) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2014
Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, Session 3. Pours clear gold with a fluffy, off-white head. Rich citrus on the nose, nice and dank, with tangerine and suggestions of anise. Medium to big sweet flavor with pale bread, sticky ripe citrus, pine needles, grapefruit, lemon. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming to finish, with sticky and resinous hops, lots of ripe, gooey citrus fruits. Solid. A ballsy beer, but still damn drinkable. Rasmus40 (22052) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 31, 2011
Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and very hoppy - peach and grapefruit. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and bitter finish. Crisp. 250511 Koelschtrinker (21828) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 6, 2011
Spitze!

2012-05-14, draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, 9% ABV, 8-5-8-4-17=42
Hazy light amber color, with giant creamy head. Very nice hop aroma, deep, fruity, lemony, but also a bit cheesy and feety; then followed by oranges and pine needles. The mouthfeel is round and soft, undercarbonated, but the body is not as thick as other IIPAs (fortunately), therefore it’s more drinkable; strong caramel and toffee flavor, with strong hopping; powerful bitterness, yet quite balanced, evident resins, but not lacerating.
I miss some more freshness and fruitiness in the final, but it’s a very well constructed beer.
At 50kr (8.65$) for 20cl, a couple of middle med are buying a Ferrari with this money.
2004-05-14, bottle, 9.5% ABV, 9-4-8-4-16=41
Copper color. Very nice hop aroma, with fruits (oranges, curaçao). Oily and malty, good but less interesting than other examples; strong final, aromatic, less long than others. Thanks Jeppe (Bierkönig) for sharing this bottle.
Bottle at home - 23/11/12 (thanks to George in NC). saxo (19531) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2010
Pours a mid amber colour with a big frothy white/off white head. Thins substantially after a minute or so, but retains a decent level and lacing follows.
Nose is fresh hops, pine, caramel malt, bitter grapefruit, mango.
Tastes of bitter grapefruit, bitter pine, caramel malts, light biscuit, mango, some mineral notes, touch of mango, light citrus, very fine sugars, resinous hops.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, bitter piney finish.
Excellent DIPA - alcohol is well disguised, flavours well balanced, all round great beer. Wish I could try this side by side with Pliny and Boneyard Hop Venom ! A ’Hyped beer’ @ allegedly.com that really delivered for me !
Tap. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich hops, caramel, elderflower and malt. Absolutely wonderful aroma. harrisoni (19413) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2007
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2007 Bottle Chris_o Shindig. Amber, thin white head. Great aroma of piney hops. Some tea flavour in the mouth. A lot better than I was expecting. mcberko (19177) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 15, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 16, 2011 22 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a beautiful opaque dark orange with a small white head. Aroma screams tropical fruits, with peaches, mango, mandarin oranges, truckloads of citrus and resinous hops, and rich caramel malts to balance. Flavour is omnipotent, with rich tropical fruits as aforementioned, loads of citrus and resinous hops, balanced by sufficient caramel malts, finishing tropical fruity and citrus hoppy. Magnificently well-done IIPA. Deserving of its reputation.
