UPDATED: NOV 16, 2011 22 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours a beautiful opaque dark orange with a small white head. Aroma screams tropical fruits, with peaches, mango, mandarin oranges, truckloads of citrus and resinous hops, and rich caramel malts to balance. Flavour is omnipotent, with rich tropical fruits as aforementioned, loads of citrus and resinous hops, balanced by sufficient caramel malts, finishing tropical fruity and citrus hoppy. Magnificently well-done IIPA. Deserving of its reputation. Oakes (17684) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 4, 2003
Bright copper amber; large hop aroma - mint, grapefruit. Chewy and bitter palate - toffeeish malts and citrusy hops, sugar tarts, leaves. Chewy hops resonate in the lingering finish. TBone (17544) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 3, 2005

Golden amber color, not much head. Very strong aroma of blackcurrant leaves. Medium to full bodied. Aggressive sweet honeyish hoppyness, some blackcurrant also in the flavor. Unbalanced, not my cup of tea.
Tap @ MikkellerBar. Slightly hazy golden with small white head. Flavour is malt, hops, bitter, citrus, pine, fruit, peach and grape. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 1, 2008
Bottle, 22oz. (RBNAG 07) Pours an orange-golden, almost clear pour with an off-white to beige head. It sure has a hop-dominated aroma, fruity, tropical fruits and citrus, pine and resin, with a heavy maltyness in the supporting role. Nice flavor too, fruity, piney, malty, quite sweet and sure bitter. Fruity, piney, bitter finish as well. Full body. Loved this IIPA, beautiful mix of hops and malt. (071103)

Bottle thanks to Matt! Pours clear amber with white head. Nose and taste of extreme citrus, with light pine, dry hops and coriander spices on a strong caramel malt foundation. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 15, 2010
A: Deep amber color, hazy, thin off-white head.
S: Tons of citrus, mostly orange. Nice piney, resinous finish. It’s got my mouth watering already.
T: A burst of grapefruit and orange initially, followed by a caramel sweetness and a bit of alcohol on the finish. Bitter, but not overly so.
M: Very smooth, great body, and perfect level of carbonation.
D: Despite the high ABV and the slight alcohol bite, this one has such great flavors that you could drink it all day. Dedollewaitor (16159) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2009
Bottle @ Odense smagning, august 2009. Pours hazy orange with a small creamy head and lacings. Nose is deep... Lots of exotic fruits. Pine and orange. Smooth and crisp and with a lovely malty balance. Caramel, pine and grapefruit. Lovely Benzai (15611) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2013
Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG II. One of my big time wants thanks to tderoeck. Huge thanks Tim! Clear orange color, small to medium sized white to off - white head. Smell malts, oranges, lightly grapefruit and hops. Taste malts, hops, moderately grapefruit, medium to heavy bitter. Long lingering bitterness in the finish with a touch of fruityness. Medium to full body and carbonation. Well, it’s a very nice beer, but (maybe because of huge expectations) it’s not the gigantic 4+ I had hoped it would be. Still, I would drink this everyday if I had the chance. bhensonb (15207) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 29, 2009
Bomber from bulldogp04. Thanks for this great beer Dean. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a small white head. Strong citric aromas. Really thick body with mild, near creamy, carbonation. Flavor is really floral/citrus over roasted caramel. It’s very hoppy, but the caramel is detectable. Goes down very smooth. Leaves a bitter burn behind. Incredibly good beer. Good reason to live in Munster.
