Bottle from 3F. Poured hazy lazy orange with some sediment white head. Heavy aroma of banana and minor spice. Quite smooth light alcohol taste. Pretty classic. olr1984 (1500) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 28, 2013
22oz bomber from the pub. Pours a copper yellow with a small white head. Sweet malt aroma. Banana vanilla and hop taste. ryecatcher (1458) - Bridgeport, Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 27, 2013
Bomber from the brewery carryout. Pours a cloudy gold, big fluffy white head with decent retention. Nose is yeasty, spice, lilies, underlying malts. Mouth is medium bodied and dry, clove and banana lead the charge, biscuit and toasted bread mid-range, that creamy wheat on the palate towards the end. Another nice quaff from Tres Floydos, especially on a day that feels like more like summer in Nicaragua than Chicago (at least this year anyway). 50belair (3670) - Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2013
Bottle. Cloudy yellow pour with white head. Yeast and wheat aromas. Big wheat notes. Decent body and mouthfeel Ricksterdu (39) - - AUG 19, 2013
I was expecting a more authentic German heffe-weisen.
All I could taste was bananas.
Poor effort from a brewery of this caliber.
I was hoping this one would be spot on.

This stuff is bananas. Literally. I havent had many of this style but it seems to be trypial except here the banana is turned up past 11. HisBoyElroy (107) - Michigan, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Holy fucking banana! That was by far the most present flavor. It was delicious. conway (2210) - - AUG 15, 2013
Bottle. Pours honey colored with a 1 finger white head. Aroma and taste hit all the standard banana, clove and bubblegum notes. Taste adds a hint of honey as it warms. Palate is smooth and rounded with just enough carb. This sets itself apart by being a touch sweeter than the average hefeweizen.

I could drink this all day long and for the rest of my life and not miss anything else. It’s a damned shame they don’t bottle this. Get there and give it a go.

From notes. First reviewed 11/18/2010. Served on tap in a pint glass.
Drunk Monk pours a hazy faded golden color, with a small white head, which fades rather quickly to a ring on the edge of the glass. Light lacing on the sides of the glass.
Banana, clove, and wheat are all present in the nose. Other spices and floral hops provide the support.
Although the banana flavors are quite strong, this is actually somewhat tame for FFF. Maybe I was just in the mood for something stronger. It starts out moderately sweet, with lots of banana, clove, and spice. A kick of bubblegum in the middle, finished out by light citrus but mostly floral hops.
The feel is sticky sweet, and moderately carbonated. Medium body.
My ratings may be weighed down by my exceptionally high expectations for Three Floyd’s, but to me this was a decent, not a great beer.
