This beer was really good but I have to say it didn’t stand out much compared to some of the others. Kind of got lost in the mix for me. Hoppy and well balanced. High IBU’s without the distinct and overpowering bitterness. tastybeer (1853) - Indiana, USA - JUL 3, 2011
Draft. Pour is hazy dark gold with a small white head. Aroma is grass, candy corn, fruity yeast, grain husk, a bit of citrus. Flavor is lightly sweet, grass, fruity. Finish is dry and soft. Tasty. nimbleprop (8591) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUL 2, 2011
12oz tulip at the brewpub. Pours a lightly hazy, dark gold with a thin, creamy white head. Sweet, malty nose, a little estery, some pepper, green apple, light citrus, a little candy. Flavor is sweet, candy, honey, malts, apples, some lemon, some cracker, grass, dandelions. Medium bodied, dry finish. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 25, 2011
Tasted on 6/8/11 on draft at the Three Floyds Brewpub. Pours cloudy orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to thin spotty lace. The nose is light floral hops, orange peel, and lightly underlying baking spices. The flavor is lightly bitter floral and orange peel hops with some spiciness and light malt as well. The body is light with lively carb and a long bitter and spicy hops finish. bobbypaulson (217) - Fergus Falls, Minnesota, USA - JUN 24, 2011
had this on tap at the 3F brewpub a couple days ago. it comes in a tulip glass and is a cloudy yellow color with a nice white head. smell fruity and citrusy and some clove smell. The taste is the same smell with some yeast. The beer isn’t bad but I had some better beers there that day.

aroma is OJ, yeast back note, some general tropical fruits, stressing pineapple. aroma is super hazy, big legs, lingering sponge head. flavor is pine coming to play, previously more simple OJ becomes tangerine and even mango. hard to figure where hop esters end and yeast esters begin. savory malts work to poke through the corucopia. mouthfeel is nicely coating, leads to exttended pleasant bitterness. Draft at the brewpub (Munster, IN). Pours a nice glowing orange gold hue, more orange and pretty murky with a cakey offwhite head atop, pretty large with a good stick around, good lacing overall. Aromas are a melange of citrus, moving some generous citrusy grapefruit and lemon hops up front, touches of fruity esters are light and subtle mixing with bread dough, touches of mellow yeast, a touch fruity and spicy. A touch of gumball. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied throwing some decent bitterness, citrusy hops of grapefruit, lemon, florals, and grass seem to move into that gumball Amarillo feel. Malt body is bread dough, flaked wheat, smooth and easy. Into the backend, more of the fruity esters come through, touches of banana and light pear, the hops are growing on the palate, seem to cover up the fruit giving this a nice solid hop forward feel. The Belgian influence lays lower, but does peek through in spurts making this an interesting and more complex drinking experience into the backend. A touch of candy like nerds comes out of nowhere, gumballs and a healthy hop presence. I enjoyed this, solid with a striking bitterness and mellow fruity ester influence that is out of the way. Healthy lacing, aromas fall a bit flat, but overall the taste and experience are quite nice. I’d peg this into Belgian IPA territory if the aromas match

Took a sip off of Honkeybra’s pint at the FFF Brewery. Wicked bizzah appearance. An opaque, light yellow-orange almost milky color. Surprisingly hoppy, with some banana ester making its way through, but it’s not off-putting. Nice mouthfeel and flavor. A cool-looking, and nice-tasting brew. Glad I tried it. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 19, 2011
On tap at 3F... A milky dark honey, gold, off white head, good lace... Belgian yeast with lots of grassy hops, good combo... The taste is off from the nose, buttery, soapy, with a chemical grass hop finish, crisp and drinkable, just not in love HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - JUN 19, 2011
On draft at the 3F Brewpub. An interesting pour -- near startling, actually as it’s a very hazy whitish gold, thick white head sitting on top. Aroma is balanced between the Belgian yeast esters and fairly strong hops. Flavor is fruity, subtle, estery, with a strong hop presence of medium bitterness. There are notes of citus, banana, and pepper. Medium bodied, fairly carbonated, and refreshing. Before I know it I’ve finished my glass. I like this. It’s not 3F’s best or most unique beer, but it’s very good for a session beer.
