Very disappointing. This amber brew with a frothy white head was lacking any character. Faint notes of malt, hops, and green apples that seemed watered down. The thin consistency supported the watered down notion. The flavor was vapid and inconsequential. Rare for 3F. MikeF (538) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - DEC 31, 2005
tried this on tap at the brewery. Up front this brew was reasonable, however, It had an extremely disturbing finish - which to me tasted likely whatever cleaning solution they use to sanitize their equipment. It was disgusting, undrinkable. Not sure what happened.... the other brews I tried on tap were fine. I asked the brewer - who looked at me funny aparently did not take my comment seriously. ... wonder if anyone else has noticed this? RooftopRogue (423) - Champaign, Illinois, USA - DEC 31, 2005
This beer produces an aroma of sour wheat with the a metallic presence lingering in the background. It is a dark cloudy gold solution a very slight white head. This beer is thin and spreads throughout the mouth distributing a medicine like taste. Fortunately, this beer fades from the palate rather quickly. thedm (6148) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 24, 2005
This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of finely sized mostly diminishing off-white colored bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body contained very soft carbonation, was transparent and orange brown in color. Its aroma contained malty bock notes. Its mouth feel is initially slightly tingly with a lingering tingly aftertaste. Its flavor contained sweet malty bock notes. An above average brew.

On tap at three floyds. Lighter in color with no head really. The taste doesnt have that hop kick but more of a malty front. Overall pretty drinkable and not bad. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - DEC 17, 2005
Tap at FFF: Light golden brown and somewhat thin, which I never thought I’d say about a 3F brew. Mild sweet and nutty malt flavor with a soft touch of hops and a hint of apples. Kind of lazy on the bock side.hotstuff (5145) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 8, 2005

Tap at 3F. Very small off-white head, virtually no lacing, fine-small sized bubbles, transparent, no visible carbonation, and an orange hue. Aroma was sweet, malty, caramel and some hops. Flavor was malty and caramel. Tingly palate. Light-medium body. JoeM500 (1908) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - DEC 4, 2005
OOOhhhh has a bite. Light bodied, sort of bland, some strange aftertaste. Something like caramel, but not as pleasant. It did complement the bratwurst quite well, which I think gets wrecked when drinking the big hoppy monsters. I wished they’d let me play my public enemy at the brewpub. jaymobrown (1845) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 22, 2005
Light color. Tasted sort of like rubber bands. Slight maltish tastes. Lightly bitter. Mostly grains -- lots of whole grains. Oats, wheat, barley, almonds, sunflower seeds. Dunno. Liked it good enough.
