22 oz bomber from DLD 2011. Time to open this, I guess. Pours a big puffy head over a darker gold lager color. Takes a while for the head to finally settle to a short layer. I am not getting much in the way of nose, probably a consequence of letting it age for a year. well, then again, there is a welcome whiff of alcohol after a few more sniffs. Sipping it does give the nice impression of a high-powered malt liquor, without the headache inducing fusels (Heloooo Big Hurt). A true gargleblaster to give my sore throat a wakeup call, with not just alcohol but fizz. I would have thought this would have the standard Noble hops, and a hint of perfume suggests that, but there’s also a citrus bender that suggests C&Cs. It’s a nice way to celebrate ALMOST finishing my Oracle Database class and getting back to looking for a job.

Bottle pour. Bomber. Pours a very cloudy amber. Aroma is citrus zest. Flavor is bitter grapefruit. Overall, solid beer, not as exceptional as Zombie Dust and other heavily hopped 3 Floyds beers.

Orange clear pour with a single finger head. Aroma is sweet, full of caramel, grain & some earth-like notes. Huge mouth. Taste is full of grain with a more bitter than usual finish for the style. Very clean, floral finish. Super easy drinking for being such high gravity. Lace present.

Fad: Orange uklar øl med et lille skumhoved. Duft af humle, tydelig three floyds men smagen er domineret af lagergær der clasher en lille smule med humlen. Lidt mærkelig øl uden den store balance.

Tap at Milkeller Bangkok. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, weak citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a zesty citrus yeast palate and a short, slightly spicy bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

4.2
wlajwl (6876) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - NOV 5, 2014
Aroma is fruit/berries, citrus/citrus peel, malts and slightly perfumed. The flavor is fruit/berries, malts, citrus and slight heat/alcohol/tartness in the finish.
