On draught, this ale dispenses a clear amber, with a full white head. Rich buttery flavor with toffee and sweet roasted malt.. Medium hoppiness; really good. StFun (567) - Indiana, USA - JAN 24, 2008
Wow...This beer has been retired since 06, and I still saw some on the shelf as of a month ago? Good Lord!! Anyways, this was a most average beer, a weaker blander version of Alpha King. Glad they got rid of this one...gives them more time to experiment and create some delicious brews! RSRIZZO (1986) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 1, 2007
Had this beer on 10/15/1998. ight gold color and aroma. Body is light with a bitter finish and a nice hop flavor. railcat1 (702) - Kissimmee, Florida, USA - MAY 16, 2006
HAD THIS LATE 2004 AND WAS DISAPOINTED.THIS BEER TASTED JUST PLAIN VERY MILD AND BLAH GLAD THEY RETIRED THIS AND MOVED TO BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS CHEERS MIBRomeo (2570) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 14, 2005
Poured a dark murky color w/ a small off white head and some ok lacing. Smelled like a bad floral hop with hints of carmel. Had an odd mouth feel but coated ok. The flavor was reminiscent of pepto and dead flower petals. This was just not a good beer.

Weird. I found this in the cooler at Benno’s. I can see why they retired it. It isn’t very good. I see that it’s supposed to be floral. Yes. It is. But that’s also the downfall of this brew. The beer pours to a dark bronze body with lots of particulate in suspension. Thin white head. The aroma is floral and caramel. The floral hops come to the front in the flavor and are weird. The palate is bitter. Not a good brew from FFF. (Floydicus informed me that this was last brewed 4 years ago. It is likely past it’s prime). temporrari (397) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUL 3, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2005 This is a great session beer. A good beer to give a Bud drinker. A very clean and slightly malty flavor. Some hops on the nose, floral. Not bitter at all really, just an easy drinking beer. The perfect beer for a hot day when an imperial stout or barley wine doesn’t sound all that good. -------- I was informed by the brewery shortly after this rating that this beer has not been brewed for 5 years. I think it held up pretty well for what it is. Skip (206) - Indiana, USA - JUL 16, 2004
I found the aroma to be just short of unpleasant. Organic and flowery in all the wrong connotations of the term. That, naturally, affected the perceived flavor. Other than that, reasonable. pivo (2685) - GERMANY - MAY 23, 2004
One of the weaker offerings from this brewer, I’d have to say. Bright hop nose and a pronounced hop bitter - even grassy - but a watery body. Some citrus. Dissappointingly thin. Wondering about the consistency of this brewer because of this beer... YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 20, 2004
Not sure what is the "Extra" in this Pale Ale. Orange, nealry no head, liveley carbonation. Nose is oranges, hops, flowers and grass. The taste is weak with malt and hops.
