22 oz bottle: poured clear amber/orange with a medium sized light tan head. Pineapple/pine hop aroma, citrusy. Flavor is mostly hoppy as well with pine, pineapple, mild orange. Light sweetness on the tongue. Can’t say I taste any jasmine but I do like it quite a bit. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 16, 2008
Thanks to Devon for opening this! Poured clear reddish-orange with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet Amarillo and orangey hoppage over sweet caramel and medium-skinned fruits.. a touch of vanilla and toffee on the back. The flavor found spicy, floral, and orangey bitterness over orange meat and toasted caramel.. floral and fruity bitterness rode over the sweet finish.. tasty! Medium-plus bodied and mostly bitter on the palate, but there was just enough sweet backing.. long finish. Very good. hombrepalo (1971) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 15, 2008
bomber. this was weak! Poured a clear orange, with light white head. Aroma of some hops, fruits and malts. Flavor was smooth, light and balanced. Expected some more from the flavors. Fell short of my expectations. Too soft. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 14, 2008
Very interesting. Bottle from Binny’s on Clark. Pour is deep copper and clear. Nose is earthy and noble with very minor traces of American hops. The taste is full of iced tea, grass, bitterness and a mellow body. Nice balanced mouthfeel and earthy hop flavor. The Jasmine is interesting, though not my favorite thing in the world. An interesting choice for an anniversary beer. Pretty nice, though. 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 14, 2008
Thanks to whomever shared this. The beer pours to a clean orange body with a thin white head. The aroma is fruity pineapple and other hoppy fruits. The flavor is hoppy grasses and pine with fruity blends. Kind of yeasty. The palate is ok, medium-bodied. Like a hoppy alcholic amber beer.

Pours a light shade of copper. Aroma comes through as a very clean american hop with some traditional noble hops?? Very nice mouthfeel, smooth yet with enough of a residual sugar profile to leave a clean finish. Overall one of the better IPA’s I’ve had in a while. railcat1 (702) - Kissimmee, Florida, USA - JUL 11, 2008
This was a a lghter and milder version of the x ipa but it was still a good refreshing beer with some spicy flavors and a hoppy finish overall not bad.CHEERS! drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2008
22oz bottle. just released. pours clear amber with a small white head. aroma is spicy hops, flavor is spicy and slightly green hop notes, biscuity, can’t detect jasmine. flabby thin body. mildly spicy finish. I enjoyed X way more than this. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2008
11th anniversary bottle (as I’ve been told its a different recipe). Pours a glowing clear orange with a small white froth on top. Huge fresh piney hop aroma, resin stings the nostrils, followed by a hint of sweet malt/honey. Big salty, piney, resin, hop flavor, kinda dry at first... a touch of peach, finishes off-dry with some sweet sugary malts. I really dig it... a nice balance from a beer that packs a ton of flavor. Medium body, a little bit glassy and a little bit sticky, fine sizzling carbonation. Very easy drinking, more so than dreadnaught.
