Pours almost black in color with a finger of tan head. Smells rather salty. Nice roasted malt, a hint of chocolate, and dark fruit. The flavor has just a hint of bitterness. Theres really nice roastiness, good chocolate notes, light saltiness, and a hint of graham cracker.

Sample at the Central OH BA Tasting at From The Vine on 06/02/2012: Brownish-black pour with a medium light tan head that recedes slowly. Partial rings of lacing. The aroma consists of earthy malt, molasses and chocolate. Light to medium body with a roasty character and flavors of malt, salted nuts and mild hops. The finish is semi-sweet with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle shared. Pours near black with dark biege head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, fudge, toffee, cocoa and light coffee. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. All of the aroma aspects come out in the palate with raisins, overripe red fruit and oyster saltiness on the side. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Fantastic for the low ABV.

Dark brown pour, tan head. Roasty and toast aroma, some light smoke, very light coffee. Flavor is roasty with a bit of smoke, no real note of the brine/oysters that Ive had in past oyster stouts. Still a very quaffable brew.
