Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is heavy malty, chocolate, coffee, chocolate beans, dark chocolate. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110525]

From tap at Mielcke & Hurtigkarl. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth fruity and herbal coffee flavoured. Sweet. Bitter and roasted dark malty. Lingering fruity and roasted coffee to chocolate malty. Bitter and roasted finish. Very subtle coffee beer - more on the fruity flavours than dense bitter/black coffee.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2011 From growler. Pours nearly black with a thin tan head that recedes quickly. Short strings of lacing. Strong roasted coffee aroma with some chocolate notes. Medium body with flavors of espresso, malt and hops. The finish is roasty with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Solid brew all around.

@dstructos Daks Back-growler-infected-pours a big foamy light brown head and black color. Aroma is chocolate, spice. Taste is peat/chocolate-dark malt, herbal/spice hops. Would like to try again.
