On tap @ Three Floyd’s: Pours orange gold with a white head. Aroma, yeasty, citrus, lemon, pale malts. Flavor, bready, some banana, lemon, pale malts, and some yeasty notes. Interesting. OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - APR 29, 2007
On tap at the brewpub - Pours amber with a short white head. Aromas of orange, and a little spice, some yeast, and lots of fruity pear notes. Flavor is fruity with some orange and apricot there yeast, and some spice. Crisp and clean on the palate. This was pretty tasty. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - APR 27, 2007
On tap at the FFF Brew Pub. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a bubbly/creamy off white lacing head. Aroma was very fruity, various citrus (orange), a bit of spiciness, Chouffe Yeast, Belgian spices, great fresh hopped Belgian ale. Flavor was a hopped up LaChouffe with American hops, orange, pine, light hop bitterness, peppery spiciness, Chouffe yeast and hints of banana. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - APR 27, 2007
Tap at brewery: Bronze hued with a small ring of foam and some lace. The aroma has notes of syrup, pear, grapefruit, lemongrass, biscuity malts and Belgium yeast. The taste has a sharp bitterness over a yeasty dusty base. Sweet malts come through in the middle and the beer is finished off with a fruity and astringent character. The mouth feel has a bite but is ultimately smooth and very drinkable. Very nice take on the hoppy Belgian style beers to come out lately. I dig it!

Draft. Clear golden colour. Very very dry with citrusy hops. No Belgian character that I could find. Its a good dry IPA, but fails as a Belgian. tjthresh (1873) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - APR 9, 2007
On tap at the brewpub. Amber with a sticky white head. Light refreshing aroma with some orange, floral and spice aromas. Really nice Belgian spicey yeast character. Clean bitterness. Light palate. A really nice beer to drink. Loved it. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 2, 2007
On tap at 3F. Poured a clear medium golden with 3/4" of medium-density white head. Dusty, banana-ey yeast hits the nose first.. drier caramel, white pepper, and cloves shortly after.. almost a saison-ey presence to it. White peppery spices were very heavy in the flavor department... the dusty Chouffe yeast was prominent too.. banana and sweet caramel deep down.. left a spicy, light-fruity finish. Bit too heavy on the spicage.. medium-bodied with moderate (ideal) carbonation. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 31, 2007
draft at 3F....nice appearance: deep, muddled apricot-like color with a think white head....aroma was citrussy for the most part....taste was very citrusy and refreshing. a lot of grapefruit and a little pine added to boot. it had a nice balance of yeast as well and had a slightly bitter finish in the end. Another treat from Three Floyds. Belgian yeast with all the great citrussy hopiness you’d expect from FFF. A beer that I could drink all day. Amazing!
Had this right after sampling last year’s Dark Lord and the new Slave Princess. Can’t wait to try it again with a clean palate.
