Draft. Any semblance of Belgian is slaughtered by hops. It is nice dry and tropical.

Cloudy perfect peach color with a tall, billowy head. Vivid, crisp, hoppy honey and pine flavors with some creamed oranges and light Belgian yeast. Sweet grapefruit and mandarin orange notes round this one out, with a wonderfully fresh and juicy presence. Some light candy sugar noted alongside some creamy pine hops and semi-tart “buggy” yeast flavor. Good stuff.

On tap at 3F. Poured a clear medium golden with 3/4" of medium-density white head. Dusty, banana-ey yeast hits the nose first.. drier caramel, white pepper, and cloves shortly after.. almost a saison-ey presence to it. White peppery spices were very heavy in the flavor department... the dusty Chouffe yeast was prominent too.. banana and sweet caramel deep down.. left a spicy, light-fruity finish. Bit too heavy on the spicage.. medium-bodied with moderate (ideal) carbonation.

Tulip poured on draft at the brewpub (Munster, IN). Pours a nice dark amber, some orangish notes, dull, good haze, and big offwhite head that sticks around, laces well. Aromas are pushing some nice fruity esters, belgian yeast and spice, light apple must, and some nice sweet malt. Initial is a little light in the body, Belgian malts and spices, fruity esters of apple and pear, with some mellow sweetness. Finish with a sweetness and moving to a decent bitterness. Inviting, pleasant. This is a decent Belgian, maybe a little mediocre, a little underbodied and flavored, but sessionable at it’s ABV. Cheers.

Draught. At the brewpub. Hazy light orange-amber with an average white drool of head. Decent sweet caramel malt aroma, mild tart fruit acidity, and pungent dry herbal hops and dry lightly spicy yeast. The taste is very hoppy, some light tart fruit, slightly boozy, I detected something almost like rye bread in there, the hops ultimately seemed a little green and grassy. Sticky, surprisingly thick body, good dry astringency and carbonation, with a surprisingly long sharply bitter and slightly acid finish. Very nice - definitely a hop/Belgian ale hybrid, slightly reminiscent of the Chouffe Houblon.

On tap at FFF Brew Pub. Pours a hazy orange amber. Aromas of Herbal hops, Belgian spiciness & Yeast. Taste is Floral herbalness, hops, Belgian yeast. Nice fuller body. Enjoyed despite the major hangover endured froma long night at The Hopleaf & Maproom

Draft: Hazy amber with a small, off-white head. Pineapple, peach aroma. Taste is tangerine/pineapple....a little grain. Soft, more orange as it warms. Very nice....really like this one... More APA-like than Belgian, though.

Tap at brewery: Bronze hued with a small ring of foam and some lace. The aroma has notes of syrup, pear, grapefruit, lemongrass, biscuity malts and Belgium yeast. The taste has a sharp bitterness over a yeasty dusty base. Sweet malts come through in the middle and the beer is finished off with a fruity and astringent character. The mouth feel has a bite but is ultimately smooth and very drinkable. Very nice take on the hoppy Belgian style beers to come out lately. I dig it!
