Cloudy perfect peach color with a tall, billowy head. Vivid, crisp, hoppy honey and pine flavors with some creamed oranges and light Belgian yeast. Sweet grapefruit and mandarin orange notes round this one out, with a wonderfully fresh and juicy presence. Some light candy sugar noted alongside some creamy pine hops and semi-tart “buggy” yeast flavor. Good stuff. mallons72 (208) - livonia, Michigan, USA - AUG 3, 2014
Wonderful beer. Just a nice easy drinking pale. Right mix of hops, citrus and carbonation. Well done.

Priveleged to have been at the brewery at thr right time. Extremely hoped. Unique taste. Citrus notes. Well carbonated. Can’t wait to open another bottle. FirkinHopHead (26) - Munster, Indiana, USA - MAR 29, 2007
Another treat from Three Floyds. Belgian yeast with all the great citrussy hopiness you’d expect from FFF. A beer that I could drink all day. Amazing!
Had this right after sampling last year’s Dark Lord and the new Slave Princess. Can’t wait to try it again with a clean palate. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - APR 27, 2007
On tap at the FFF Brew Pub. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a bubbly/creamy off white lacing head. Aroma was very fruity, various citrus (orange), a bit of spiciness, Chouffe Yeast, Belgian spices, great fresh hopped Belgian ale. Flavor was a hopped up LaChouffe with American hops, orange, pine, light hop bitterness, peppery spiciness, Chouffe yeast and hints of banana.

At 3F’s. A light yeasty aroma that reeks of Belgian ale. A slightly golden amber pour with excellent lacing. The expected clovish/corriander flavor followed by fruit and seal with the citrus hops that lead to the excellent bitter finish. Good carbonation and good mouthfeel. A full textured palate. A very fine offering. SpringsLicker (3616) - Tennessee, USA - AUG 1, 2007
On tap at the brewery Dark Lord Weekend.
A long-lasting creamy white head crowns this slightly cloudy, medium gold brew.
Fragrant aroma, flowery, spicy, herbal. Some lavender.
The flavor is slightly sweet with a flowery finish.
Quite different. Nice. foundmd (210) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 8, 2009
On tap at Three Floyds Brew Pub. Hazy orange with a white lacing head. Refreshing aroma of citrus hops and Belgian yeast. Taste of balanced hops with a touch of candy sugar, fruit, and spice. Light on the palate with a bitter finish. A nice beer, and different for the style. DrnkMcDermott (3096) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - MAR 17, 2007
Draft tulip at Floyds. Puffy Belgian head, which is starting to leave a lot of lace behinf already. Pils colored, but again with a bit of haze. Smell still shows the usual Floyds hop slap and a touch of yeast. Taste is hoppy at first, then firms up in citrus hops that slide in some citrus from the Belgian malt and yeast. Good Belgian pale ale taste, maybe thrown off style by Floyds addicition of alphas, but that’s to the advantage of us beer geeks. tjthresh (1871) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - APR 9, 2007
On tap at the brewpub. Amber with a sticky white head. Light refreshing aroma with some orange, floral and spice aromas. Really nice Belgian spicey yeast character. Clean bitterness. Light palate. A really nice beer to drink. Loved it.
