Nice piney centennial flavor and aroma with the pine coming through big time. Not really getting that many belgian notes at all in this. pretty good pale ale. MoDog (927) - Griffith, Indiana, USA - MAY 27, 2007
On tap at the FFF brewpub. Pours a nice light golden/amber color into a tulip glass. Very little head. Aromas of hoppy citrus with a bit of pine and a little bit of bread. Flavors of grapefruit, yeast and a bit of orange. Upfront hops give it away that this is a FFF brew. Medium body with a nice fast sweet bitter finish. Maybe a little off base for this style, but it is a beer that I could find myself sitting down and drinking again. User29624 (1683) - - DEC 29, 2007
I’m not a huge fan of Belgians, but I enjoyed this one. An interesting beer with the hoppy flavor combining with the sweetness of the banana and cloves. Well done. adrian910ss (2575) - Doylestown, PA, USA - AUG 16, 2010
On draft at the brewpub during DLD 09. Pours a caramel orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma of bananas, cloves and hops. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Patrickctenchi (6591) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAY 30, 2014
Hazy amber with a small, off-white head.
Pineapple, peach aroma.
Taste is tangerine/pineapple....a little grain.
Soft, more orange as it warms.
Very nice....really like this one...
More APA-like than Belgian, though.

Aroma of yeast, some citrus. Taste is citrus, grapefruit, yeasty sweetness, end there is some spice. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 31, 2007
draft at 3F....nice appearance: deep, muddled apricot-like color with a think white head....aroma was citrussy for the most part....taste was very citrusy and refreshing. a lot of grapefruit and a little pine added to boot. it had a nice balance of yeast as well and had a slightly bitter finish in the end. Tap at brewery: Bronze hued with a small ring of foam and some lace. The aroma has notes of syrup, pear, grapefruit, lemongrass, biscuity malts and Belgium yeast. The taste has a sharp bitterness over a yeasty dusty base. Sweet malts come through in the middle and the beer is finished off with a fruity and astringent character. The mouth feel has a bite but is ultimately smooth and very drinkable. Very nice take on the hoppy Belgian style beers to come out lately. I dig it! presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 29, 2007
Chicago Trip. Saturday 16:30+. Hoppy Belgian yeast aroma. Nice almost tripple flavour. Candy sugary and some hops. HogTownHarry (6925) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - JUN 1, 2007
Draught. At the brewpub. Hazy light orange-amber with an average white drool of head. Decent sweet caramel malt aroma, mild tart fruit acidity, and pungent dry herbal hops and dry lightly spicy yeast. The taste is very hoppy, some light tart fruit, slightly boozy, I detected something almost like rye bread in there, the hops ultimately seemed a little green and grassy. Sticky, surprisingly thick body, good dry astringency and carbonation, with a surprisingly long sharply bitter and slightly acid finish. Very nice - definitely a hop/Belgian ale hybrid, slightly reminiscent of the Chouffe Houblon.
