0.65l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. A really nice deep dark ruby-red one this, on the border of being blackish. A big quite lacing off-white head safely placed on the top. Quite spicy dry cocoa infused nose. Chocolate, sweet biscuits, mild licorice, not really too much of that hoppy punch I so often hope for - and get in three Floyds beers. Mildish but nice. Tastes also kinda light and thin. Not sure what the abv is on this one, but it’s lacking quite a lot on the mouthfeel. A near creamy carbonation. Old coffee, watery licorice and dusty chocolate. This is actually one of the weaker ones I’ve had from three Floyds. Not bad in and way but not really amazing either. 14.01.2015 Inbreak (6836) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - JAN 15, 2015

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is mild and balanced, dark malts, pine needles, licorice, leafs, moss, minerals, coffee, rubber, hops. Taste is slightly harsh mineraly, dark malts, grass, pine needles, minerals, hops, burnt caramel, rubber, bark, wood, paper, licorice. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a near-black deep brown body with a medium off-white head. Nose is licorice, raisins, grass, pine and hints of spruce and bready malts. Taste is roasted bread, coffee, pine, grass, bitter herbs and hints of cocoa and dark chocolate. Medium body and carbonation. Quite bitter, lacking in dimensions and not too impressive for a 3F beer IMO. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - JAN 14, 2015
Bottle shared with bbgtc. Pours a dsrk brown looking black in the glass. A medium sized tan head. Aroma is liquorice, roasted malts and bitter coffee notes. Taste is fairly balanced. Semi-sweet maltyness, bitter coffee and hops. Hints of liquorice in the taste as well. Abit mellow for a BIPA. Co2 levels just below avg. Medium body. nuplastikk (6635) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 28, 2014
22oz bottle at CC/KY tasting. Nails it. Tropical citrus hop tones and a nice specialty malt backdrop. Balance, quite a solid Black IPA. Minty, chewy caramel, chocolate. Solid stuff.

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ [ Fastelavn Smagning - Carnival Tasting, Ulfborg ].
[ As Three Floyds Immutable Dusk ].
Clear dark brown color with a average, creamy - frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange - citrus, pine. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, chocolate, hoppy, grapefruit, pine. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Nice one ;D
Dark brown pour. Roasty, hoppy - earthy, lightly danky, semisweet aroma. Roasty, hoppy flavor as well. Earthy, danky hops, mild bitterness. Homer321 (5255) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JUN 14, 2014
bottleshare thanks to DexterCat. Nose is like a dark chocolate hop cone. Citrus. Taste is assertively bitter and roasted like a burnt coffe. Yet another mediocre black ipa koleminer20 (4261) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JUN 11, 2014
22 oz bottle. The pour is a nice dark dark brown with hints of dark red around the edges. There is a nice light tan head that fades down a little with some incredible lacing. The aroma is pretty underwhelming. There is a good licorice note and maybe a little roast, but there is just a light hoppiness and not a thing more. It's a little disappointing. The flavor is a bit better. There is a light coffee up front with a nice roastiness. The hops are a bit leveled and there is a good caramel balance. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but there is an incredible balance of carbonation to make this thing thick and velvety. The aftertaste is beautifully roasty and lingeringly bitter as you'd expect in a good IPA. I'm a fan of this beer!
