I can’t believe I’m writing this, but this was my first Three Floyds drain pour, and it wasn’t just me. The 5 other guys I shared this with all dumped theirs too. Nice deep brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma was overcooked broccoli and sulfur farts. Huge vegetal notes and a lot of bad bad yeast flavors. The beer tasted "green" and like it hadn’t finished fermenting. Made it about 2 sips in then couldn’t stomach it anymore. Disappointing. coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Bomber. Poured dark brown with a smallish tan head. Aroma was roasted malt, licorice, citrus, pine, and ... a definite brininess. Flavor tipped toward the black rather than the IPA (nice change of pace for a BIPA). Roasted malt, licorice, caramel, and toffee. Moderately bitter, low sweetness. Medium palate. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 9, 2013
