On tap at GABF 2011. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is all classic Pils: honey, sweet malts, dustiness. The flavor is a rich mix of sweet biscuit malts, some honey, very dry, a light bitter hop. Nice. iowaherkeye (2804) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - OCT 4, 2011
Phone rate. $5 stein at the brewpub. Gold with a creamy 1 1/2 off-white, down to a thick coating film after a couple mins. Pasta and grassy noble hops up front, some biscuit malts behind. Flavor follows suit, not too hoppy, not quite what I expected considering the brewer. Clean dry finish, bitterness peaked at a 2. Low creamy carbonation with a light to medium body. Darn tasty, and a great start to the night. Beats Oskar Blues’ and Avery’s from the can, on par with Joe’s on draught. dinkle50 (1532) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Golden color in the glass. Lively carbonation on the tongue. Pretty traditional pilsener. I guess I was expecting something different from 3 Floyds. Smell is mellow hop. Taste is pretty generic and average. Finish is dry. Easy to drink, but nothing special. 17thfloor (2444) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a beautiful clear golden with a tall frothy foamy white head. Aroma is nicely balanced of slight metallic and cheese noble hop, biscuits and faint honey, little bit of soap, nice pilsner. Flavor follows, bit more than off-dry, metallic bitterness, medium full breadiness, floral hops smooth it all together, just a bit sharp sticky rich on the finish. Medium bodied, full feeling, bit glassy feeling with prickly carbonation. dm9831 (1512) - Monee, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2011

12 oz bottle. Pours a light golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma is nicely noble hopped, some citric character and breadiness along with a soft cereal grain note. Flavor is again nicely noble hopped, very nice herbal spicy hoppiness along with a touch of citric, some breadiness before a crisp clean finish. Medium body and a sharp carbonation. Nice pils, along the lines of prima pils and avery joes HoppyAlesToYou (186) - Saint John, Indiana, USA - SEP 16, 2011
A brand spanking new 12 ounce bottle pours a hazy golden with a minimal white foam head. Slightly skunky floral notes are predominant, with a side of bread. Several sips reveal medium sweetness followed by lingering medium bitterness. The body is light, but the lively carbonation accentuates the bitterness of the Noble hops. Very happy to see this and Zombie Dust in six packs. Will the Admiral follow? Strykzone (7659) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 15, 2011
Pint at the brewpub. Hazy and yellow gold. This has quite a lot going on, especially for the style. Honey, lots of citrus, grass, and malt. Noble hops arevevident but American ones, too. Some nice sugary sweetness at the finish. As nice a Pils as I have had. dumontn (530) - St. Joseph, Michigan, USA - SEP 9, 2011
12oz bottle, brand new 6-pack release
Pours rich hazy gold with sudsy head and some of the best retention I’ve ever seen on an American lager. Aroma is sweet bready malt and spicy hops. So damn bready you just want to slather some butter on it and dig in! Taste is crisp and refreshing (even from the bottle) and is the perfect balance of spice and bread. Body is light, frothy, lively carbonation, dry refreshing finish. Overall, an incredibly delicious pils and a fantastic addition to 3F’s 6-pack lineup. NoiZe (2394) - Zeist, NETHERLANDS - SEP 7, 2011
Golden colored brew. Hoppy, grassy, sweet aroma. Flavor has grassy hops, sweetness, decent bitterness for a pilsener. Good session beer.
