3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nearly clear gold pour with a 1 finger fluffy white head. Aroma of cereal, grassy hops, spicy hops, light floral hops, light breadiness and a sweet cooked fruit note that I can’t really put my finger on. Flavor is loaded with cereal, toast, and crusty bread up front, a little oily booziness right after that, honey, lots of spicy hops, some grassy hops vegetal notes, and distant fruity floral hops. Light to medium body with a creamy to oily entry, oily to dry finish and light, but sharp carbonation. Decent Pilsener, but I can’t really say that I enjoyed this too much, too heavy and oily, mixed with more booziness than it should have and some kinda weird vegetal notes. None of that is really that strong, but it’s enough to separate it from a really good Pils.
From a bottle, light caramel color with large off white head. Nose is bread, light grassy notes. Medium body, sweet, slightly dry finish. Shart carobnation. Long finish wit more bread and lemon. Nice beer for a hot summer day. Sammy (12852) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 22, 2017
Fairly basic beer. Maybe if had it within days of being bottled. Thanks for sharing, Brian. Not much hop flavour. Still I appreciate a good lager. islay (3042) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 10, 2017
12 oz. bottle, consumed on 1-10-17. Pours a bright, clear gold to bronze with good effervescence and a moderate amount of cream-colored head. Good, long-lasting lacing. Looks good. Hoppy aroma pops out immediately upon opening. Mixed aroma of American and noble continental European hops. Really nice hops pungency in aroma. Good, hoppy lager flavor. Champagne from the yeast and bitterness from the hops. Really tasty and likable. My only criticism of the flavor is that it’s a bit simplistic. Very nice, bitter, almost dirt-like finish and aftertaste. In this world of dumbed down “New England IPAs” (which have neutered the bitterness of their hops in favor of citric and “tropical” aromatics and juicy flavor) dominating on Untappd and at the other site, it’s nice to see an American craft beer embrace the bitterness of its hops. Light to medium body. Soft and smooth in the palate. Really likable palate effects. I know that Three Floyds has long been one of the best craft breweries in the country, but nonetheless this comes as a pleasant surprise in terms of just how good it is. Quite good across the board; I easily could have given this a 4 or even a 4.1 if I were in a slightly more generous mood. Underrated here. djd07 (15704) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2016
Tap at GABF. Pours a cloudy yellow with medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is grass, straw, lemon zest. Medium body, grass, pine, light bitter finish, good. ehaak26 (725) - - OCT 15, 2016
Bottle pour. Pour is a hazy copper with white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma has malt and crisp hops.

Normally not a lager guy - but this is pretty tasty - especially on a hot humid day. rondphoto (4494) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - DEC 10, 2015
on tap @ Barleycorn’s / Lakeside Park KY --- Hazy light amber color, white head, sheets of lace. Taste is semi-sweet malt that adds a spike of hops just before the finish, allowing malt to reappear as it drifts to the end. As more of the pint is consumed, everything smooths out to the point that all elements blend with each other very well. DandyWolfFloyd (1213) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 8, 2015

On draft at Three Floyds after the Bourbon County debacle in Chicago. The pour is a crystal clear piss yellow color with a nice off white head and some spectacular lace as it falls down. The aroma has a surprisingly strong hint of lemon zest in it. There is a light pilsener going on, but it remains pretty zesty and lightly citrusy through the back end. The flavor is definitely that of a pilsener. Light and metallic with strong hints of corn and a light lemon zest. Basic and plain. The mouth feel is thin and light with minimal carbonation and a lingeringly strong and metallic finish. Meh.
