COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Behold! The fifth collaborative effort of Three Floyds and Mikkeller. This complex ale is just the beverage for canal boat trips in Copenhagen or the brutal Chicago winter. This years offering will be brewed in both Europe and in Chicago. Look for both editions and the subtle differences in each. Cheers and thanks for supporting craft beer.

Wow, they knocked it out of the park with this one. Pours light gold with am ample sudsy head. The aroma is amazing. Super juicy dank and fruity hops dominate the nose. The taste is about the same with a velvety mouthfeel and a piney, bitter finish. It doesnt get a whole lot better for hop heads.

This is more like a DIPA, which is good. Wonderful citrus aroma and flavor. Love the dry finish, well hidden alcohol, and the smooth and creamy body. Overall, this is just damn good.

Fresh bomber poured into a three floyds teku glass. Pours a slightly hazy orange yellow with an inch of white head and nice lacing. Aroma is very tropical. Pineapple, mango, papaya, and grapefruit. There is also rice, apricot, and maybe caramel. Taste is bitter up front. Grapefruit, pineapple, and mango dominate. It gives way to caramel, rice wine, malts, and sugar. Thin to medium mouthfeel and no alcohol present at all. Excellent beer.

Pours deep cloudy orange with off white head. Thick and tangy with a juicy mouthfeel. Orange slices, dark fruits and ample spicing. Tried with Dave at the brewery in August, 2012 and then bottled.

22 oz bomber into a FFF pint glass. This is the version bottled by FFF. A - Dark yellow body. Very light and clear. Soapy bone-white head with sticky lacing. S - Very FFF like. This reminds me of boogoop instantly. Incredibly sweet grapefruit and pine heavy hops. A clean malt background with a lingering honey sweetness. T - Woah. Well this is different. I experienced a huge flavor change at least three times. Starts off with a huge hop profile of bitter grapefruit and pine. Then a soothing layer of floral spice with a certain ricey adjunct quality to it. Then its crackery with some honey. Finish is bitter for a second then vanishes. Very dry and crisp with a medium mouth feel. O - Crazy complex. This is a very confusing beer. It looks like a lager, has the aroma of a fresh FFF DIPA, and it tastes like some odd hybrid of beers. One of the better beers Ive had recently. I would not age this beer at all. It is just near perfect right now!

Bottle from 3F brewery. Amazing hop bomb smell - piny and lemony. Slightly hazy, amber, big frothy head. Taste is delicous - very well-balanced, light sweet malty flavours (lighter due to the rice?), lots of hops: pine and lemon. I taste a little more alcohol as time goes on. Moderately high bitter finish. Is this a "Barley Wine" or a "Double IPA"; not sure. But its great!

Pine and hop aromas. Awesome pine and citrus hop flavors. The best of both worlds. Overall a very good IPA.

On tap at brewpub. What a fantastic collaboration. This beer has 3F hop hand an mikkeller's way with strongs--just a great hoppy strong ale. Hides the alcohol v well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
