Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours an opaque black with a small beige head. Very sweet hard roasted malts with lots of vanilla and licorice - do I detect a woody, oaky edge as well. Medium body, low in carbonation, sweet hard roasted malts, vanilla and licorice. Rather subdued bitterness. Pleasant one. 110110 Leighton (22079) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 6, 2015
Bottle shared during Bruce’s birthday - many thanks to the birthday man! Pours black-brown with a creamy beige head. The aroma holds smooth chocolate with accents of coffee, dark fruits. Medium sweet flavor, some milk chocolate, subtle earthy bitterness, toasty bread, burnt sugars. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes pretty sweet with well toasted malts, more cocoa, light bitterness. Great stuff.
